thanks taoist....
here is a portion of this week's column from peter fiutak about double digit home dogs.......
In the weekly tracking of my theory that, after the early part of the year, the double-digit home underdog almost always covers, the home underdog went 2-4 last week and is 7-7 over the last two weeks.
- Virginia Tech -11 at West Virginia LOSS VT 34-17
- Connecticut -10 at Army LOSS UConn 47-13
- Texas -15.5 at Missouri LOSS Texas 51-17
- USC -17 at Arizona State WIN USC 38-28
- Boise State -11 at Hawaii WIN BSU 44-41
- LSU -14.5 at Miss State ? LOSS LSU 37-7
This week?s double-digit home dogs ?
LSU -15 at Vanderbilt ? LSU covered last week on the road at Miss State. Unless the Commodores play at another level, LSU wins by 25.
Fresno State -26.5 at New Mexico State ? Yuck. The Aggies haven?t done anything effectively with its offense, but 26.5 is a big matzo ball hanging out there.
Maryland -28 at Temple. ? How is the line not 45?
Akron -11 at Buffalo ? Buffalo has the nation?s
worst offense, but Akron shouldn?t be giving 11 to anyone.
