YTD 178-139-2 +47.98 Units

ND - ML(-140)*****(5 Units) - Loser
This is not a homer play. Two teams going in different directions. SU has lost 5 of their last 7 while ND has won 3 in a row. Sure the 3 wins were against subpar teams but at least they did many positive things in each win. I have been to been many games at the Dome in SU and I know SU will give ND everything they have but their defense is very suspect and has yielded big yards against conference opponents. ND is hitting on all cylinders. The defense is creating TO's. Irish have been dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Julius Jones has been unreal having three 200 yd. games. He could have had 350 against Stanford if they did not yank him mid 3rd Q. He will cause the SU defense all sorts of problems. I really like the way the OL has been gelling and QB Brady Quinn has not been making mistakes and has progressed nicely over the last month. This guy will be one heck of a QB over the next year or two. SU will fire Pasqualoni regardless of the outcome. Many of the Irish Seniors that I spoke after the Stanford said the SU will be their bowl game. They want to go out winners. ND wins by double digits.

Kansas St. +14** - Winner
I have to take the Wildcats here for a couple of reasons. Sooners were not super dominant on the road at Colorado and Alabama. Both average teams. K.St. has won 6 in a row and have nothing to lose. Sooners have everything to lose. I had a chance to speak with Charlie McBride today, a former Huskers coach at a golf club here in Phoenix. He said no matter what, with a coordinator leaving it distracts the team, no matter what the coaching staff and players tell you. They are creatures of habit. This would disrupt them a bit. Now I have to believe what a former coach tells me in this instance as he went through this same scenario in his 40 years of coaching. Another thing I don't understand is why is the line not moving. Tons of money is coming in on the Sooners. Normally when that happens the line goes up but Vegas is onto something hear. They set this line a tad high which is why it has not moved all week or maybe .5 a pt. Wildcats stay inside the number.

Leaning to Georgia but won't decide until late Sat. afternoon. Might add a 2nd half play or two on Sat. I will have a 10pt. CFB teaser as well.

Can't wait with the bowl season around the corner!

GLTA!

that notre dame/cuse game has me puzzled. my initial lean was to syracuse. irish might be a little out of their element in the dome. but cuse really tanked in that rutgers game. had they won that, wed be talking about syracuse needing this one for a bowl. some orangemen players talking about how this serves as their bowl game, but seems that theyre trying to convince themselves with their own rhetoric. notre dame is the quintessential gridiron enigma. if anyone can consistently cap notre dame week in and week out, then they have a major gift :D . they look like theyre turning the corner one week, then mediocre the next.

gl this weekend buddy.
already on kansas state as well

gman - ND is a tough team to cap week in and week out. I usually play them half the time and the other times either play against them or no play it. SU is a big disappointment. How else do you explain SU gaining less than 200 yds. against Rutgers yet put up big pts. and yards against better teams. Glad you are on KSU! GL

Most people will be on ND.Lets see... a team that won 57-7 or a team that lost to Rutgers last week with only a 2 point handicap?Looks so easy, except handicapping is rarely that easy.Playing the team that looked great last week is the handicappers biggest emeny.ND expended a tremendous emotional effort in their anal probe of Stanford LAST WEEK.Syracuse expended no emotional effort in the Rutgers game, they were most certainly looking ahead. Its safe to say, though thay don't have a lot,ND will likely be getting the 'Cuses best effort of the year.NDs best effort of the year was LAST WEEK.They will be very hard pressed to get their minds off how well they did vs Stanford and do the homework necessary THIS WEEK to prepare for Syracuse. They know the Orange's record sucks and they will not be the same team as they were LAST WEEK.Just a word to the wiseguy.GL to you either way.

Thanks Reb!

edludes - Thanks for your input. You make some good points. But on the flip side, regardless of effort from SU, ND poses match-up problems for SU when it comes to ND on offense vs SU on defense. I don't have the time to get into now but I will post more later. As far as athletes go, ND should control the line of scrimmage as I mentioned earlier. GL

ELVIS - I did not post much during the bowl season last year. I just looked back and no joke I hit 78% of my plays for a 18 Unit profit. Not that it means anything to you as I did not post but if you look at what I did this year you will see I don't blow smoke.

Might add Boise St. later in the day.
Going to wait to play the LSU game in case for some weird reason USC stumbles because then LSU will have even more to play in the SEC CG.

Sorry guys, I made a mistake on the teaser and for some reason put 10pt. and not 13 pt. teaser.

As well, leaning to ND/SU over but with QB RJ Anderson for SU who makes so many damn mistakes game in and game out I am going to take a long look at this one. If anyone has any leans on the total please reply!

Curious!!

Curious!!

You are a good capper and so I trust you to accept this as a sincere question. I have gambled for many years but I am still learning. LOL!!
Why bet the Notre Dame money line if you have it capped at winning by double digits?? Thanks in advance.

Keep it Positive, Topdog

Thanks Augur and AR! You guys are great cappers and always look for your work. I will be sending you both e-mails over the weekend about systems.

Topdog - Great question and I thought the same, and I am the one capping it! Only reason for the ML is that I have been to dozens of games at the Dome in SU and I am doing it as a safe bet. I can't see SU winning but in case they bring one of their insane efforts at the Dome and ND wins on a last second FG that is why I did the ML. I remember being at the Michigan/SU game back in '99 when Drew Henson was the QB and SU lost 15-13 on a last second FG miss by their kicker. In 2000, SU at home to VT and Michael Vick, SU lost 22-14 but it was a TD late in the game that put it away. So now hopefully that will give you a better understanding as to why. Again, great question and GL today. Oh ya, SU had McNabb at QB in '99. You mentioned you are learning about capping and you don't learn if you don't ask! All the best.

Thanks Horns!!

Thanks Horns!!

I certainly see the difference in the added line value by playing the ML. I was wondering if you might of had info that swayed your decision like a suspect kicking game by one team that often forces a team to go for two on extra points or go for it on 4th and short instead of kicking field goals. These type of events often bite a hole in a 3 point line. I'm on this side with you!! Thanks again, and Great luck.
