What did you use to extend the stack on your smoker? Galvanized is out of the question and aluminum is questionable.

I'm extending it down so more smoke is around the meat before going up and out.

I am sorry that I am just seeing this now. I did extend the chimney down to grate level. I just used a dryer vent type hose and a clamp. When I cook a lot I take it off because it gets in the way.
