Poker Match -- WSOP Champion, Chris Moneymaker vs. MadJack

I have spoken to Chris Moneymaker, WSOP Champion, and there will, in fact, be a match between us.

Chris will be out of town for the next 10 days or so and, in the meantime, I'll be making the arrangements.

I'll post more information as it becomes available.

WOW Jack, in the other thread someone mentioned about having a MadJacks tourney with the winner gettng to play Chris Moneymaker, now thats a great idea that might get burried in the other thread.

Pokerstars lets you do private tourneys, not sure if Party will do a private tourney.

It would be fun to have a madjacks tourney with you marine, Jack and 6-5, freeze with or without the Moneymaker match prize

Ozball, I was just looking back to see who's idea it was, glad you posted here about it too, I was afraid with the pissing match starting in the other thread that your idea would get lost in the shuffle. I would be in either way, it would just be a time issue with me, I live in the east and get up at 3:00 every day to start work so late games during the week are kinda tough for me.
Hope this happens.

I would definitely be in for a madjacks tourney on Pokerstars if we could put one together.

Jack, what about an idea like the football contests? Deposit $xxx at Pokerstars, roll it over x times or keep it in x days, and get a seat in a Madjacks freeroll tournament with a $25000 prize pool.

I am on a bit of a "sabbatical" right now from poker with the pressure of work, the holidays, a 9 month old baby, and traveling around the freakin country..
I actually have not touched a real or cyber deck of cards in probably close to 3 weeks. Which is disappointing to me right now with the level of interest of posters at this sight in playing cards. I actually feel bad about it.

But, if such a tourney were to come out about... we could call it the 1st annual Madjack invitational or something like that..
I would be elated to take part in said activity and see how I can stack up with the other grinders around here.

I think we need to get BeantownJim to MC/commentate on the event and do play by play for everyone.. now THAT would be hilarious!

I expect to be back at the tables in full force shortly after the new year rolls about.
