Can't say that I have ever read or heard much intelligent discussion on this subject. I have been involved in a bunch (believe it or not) but was wondering if there is really any way to figure a good deal vs a bad one, etc??
I played a $110.00 buy in tonight, we got down to 3 players and the "dealing" began..
Payout was scheduled to be
1. $2,300
2. $1,200
3. $600
With blinds of 800-1,600 and a 200 ante, chip counts were..
Chip Leader 78,500
Donkey f uck 58,200
Agent 35,300
We tossed around the idea of freezing up 1,000 for 3rd but couldn't get a solid split figured out.
We then decided to take the payouts based on our chip percentages, or so we declared.
The "floor" came back with a payout of
Leader- $1,650
Donkey- $1,300
Agent- $1,100
They agreed and I jumped on it...seemed very generous given my stack!
So, has anyone come across any good reading on this subject on how to figure EV and the angles and such?
BDB??
Thanks!
