I've tried a bunch of the pizza places in Chicago (Giordano's, Lou Maltanati's, Great Lake, etc.). I thought they were all pretty decent. However, I will tell you Chicago Pizza doesn't hold a candle to authentic New York Pizza. It's no contest.

I think you're comparing apples and oranges.

Big fan of New York pizza also.

Deep dish for most Chicagoans is more of a dish that you have when friends are visiting from out of town. I rarely if ever order it for delivery and haven't had it in years. New York pizza is not even in the same ballpark as it is made to be more of a thin malleable crust. The ingredients are also much more sparse.

Cie is not from Chicago so who gives a fuck what he thinks about Chicago style food. I don't comment on Memphis bbq because I don't live there. I grew up being able to walk to damn near any corner and get anything I wanted cooked to order and made fresh. Maybe hot dogs, gyros, italian beefs, pizza puffs, and polish sausages aren't the healthiest way to eat but that shit tastes great. Cie grew up on snow peas, and grapefruit spring rolls. Fuck that no food knowing tofu eating skinny bastard. Of course, I love the guy despite his poor upbringing. :0008

Hope that helps,
FDC

as an alternate to thin or deep dish, I reccomend people try this, additionally the host has his own soup-nazi schtick:

Conceived by the owner in his Chicago Law Office while Dreaming of "il gran giorno" when he would open his restaurant, the Pizza Pot Pie has become a favorite of world-wide pizza connoisseurs who have graced the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company since its inception in 1972.

The Pizza Pot Pie is an individual serving, "made from scratch" with triple-raised Sicilian bread-type dough; a homemade sauce consisting of olive oil, fresh garlic, onions, green peppers, whole plum tomatoes and a special blend of cheeses; sausage made from prime Boston butts; and doorknob-size, whole, fresh mushrooms. (Vegetarian pizza pot pie may be special ordered.)

I definitely agree with you on Pequod's, piece is definitely up there as well.

How did you put that accent mark over the q by the way.

No I am not getting agent and cie mixed up, I was just having fun with him.

Joker, since I put myself in charge of all your food needs..there a great bagel place about 10 minutes from that Costco. New York Bagels..real original name I know.

Side note...Pequod's pizza helped induce labor on my first son :toast:

And if you like Italian, there's an Olive Garden right next door.....

How fat do you guys think joker is?

Can we get some suggestions for massage parlors, arcades and places to purchase a reasonably-priced, edgy sweater vest?

Not a fan of the deep dish myself, but if you want to try Pequod's, one of the two locations is in Morton Grove (about 3 miles from the Niles Costco).

If you need a quick bite near the CostCo, and like Mediterranean, go about a 1/4 mile to Naf Naf Grill.

looks like Vicious has some suggestions he is bringing to the table, I like it.

Not sure about Italian out there but if he wanted to come into the city, I would suggest Orzo's or Viaggio.

Massage - Mapi's Unique

Arcade - Emporium Arcade Bar

Sweater Vest - I'm sure we could find Joker one of these at the stores up by Belmont or Wrigley:
