Barbaro is a great horse, I just can't believe what happened. He injured his rear leg in today's Preakness and it doesn't look good for him.

Complain to the breeders and owners who push the envelope and try for bigger and faster horses, on toothpick like legs, and see if they care about 'compassion'. I will admit, that i turned the channel when he went lame cause i'm not one who likes seeing animals in distress, but c'mon man, if this were a cow, we'd be saying pass the a-1 sauce.
Must be one of these guys that thinks an animal doesnt have feelings or that they dont matter.
The race was farrrrrrr more disturbing to me than Johnnie's funeral. Pretty much put a damper on the rest of the day. I wheeled the horse and could not care less that I lost, it was pretty imaterial to me.DOGS THAT BARK said:By far the saddest thing I ever seen in horse racing was the dual between probably 2 of the best fillies ever Go For Wand and Bayakoa. Go For Wand was very small filly with VERY BIG heart.
These 2 were rivals equal to Affirmed and Alydar. In the big race they came down wire neck and neck and the little filly Go For Wand gave it more than her all snapping her leg. It still gets me emotional and when pulling up this link I couldn't bear to watch video of ordeal as I can still recall it as vividly as day it happened.

--penguinfan--watch video and let me know which you think was more disurbing--it or Johnnie Cochran's funeral.
