was with kosar in a nice restaurant and he asked for a1. the waitress looked puzzeled and i told her he puts it on his potato. he told me he puts it on his FISH! ugh!

I have too, Jack......The man puts A-1 on anything, fries, potatoes, expensive steaks and prime rib, I did not know about the frnech fry discard rule though, very interesting, but to each's own, I like blue cheese on almost anything, bread dipped in it, on french fries, any kind of chicken or hamburger, etc

Also like to use bbq sauce sometimes instead of ketchup for fries. :scared

That's not really odd. I do it a lot at fast food restaurants and it taste pretty good. I just don't like the fight you have to put up with to get BBQ sauce at McDonald's. :cursin:

I use a lot of ketchup with most everything I eat. My friends enjoy the irony of it. ;)

It seems like everyone around here enjoys A1 sauce. I can't stand it so I usually go with Heinz 57 if I need a steak sauce.

I don't eat peas. I will do about anything to avoid eating them. I once had a waitress at a Chinese restaurant give me a hassle because I ate all my food and left a pile of peas on the plate. The now prepare my food without peas. :)

I put tons of pepper on some things. IF i ever get french fries i unscrew the cap, and pour it all over it. I love lots of pepper.

Pepper on fries. That's good. I usually put the pepper on my ketchup pile so I get better coverage when the fries are dipped. :)

sounds as if A1 and sports fans kinda go together.....LOL

used to use A1 as salad dressing until discovering that ranch was OK......(get much fewer strange looks at restaurants while ordering too)

still love A1 with many things, although BBQ sauce will also do with fast food fries. it still has to be A1 with fat fries from real restaurants. :D

(and ARBYQ sauce is the BEST) ;)

When I eat out I go to Mexican restaurant 50% of the time. I usually order a burrito with a sides of jalapenos (preferably fresh, shredded variety) and sour cream. I take the knife and make an incision across the long way of the burrito's skin and dump all the japs and sour cream in there, then I close it back up so the sour cream melts into the cheesy goodness.

I eat a lot of A1 myself on burgers, steaks, philly cheesesteak, etc. One day I was reading the A1 bottle and noticed one of the primary ingrdients is "raisin paste". How many raisins must die for Kosar to enjoy his halibut.

Would eat all the meat 1st then potatoes then vegies--can't stand to mix most foods.

No pepper, never noticed that about the raisin paste. That seems strange, but it works!

Wayne,

I'm just the opposite, but I know plenty of people that use the 'compartment' method like you. I HAVE to have equal parts of each category with every bite. With breakfast, for example, I have to have some egg, sausage, toast and potatos/hash brown in each bite. Same with steak/potato/veggies. And believe me, i'm always monitoring the situation to ensure that the remaining food categories are balanced so I don't prematurely run out of a category. I need everything to come out even.

. The pool has to be pretty deep because if the french fry touches bottom, I do not eat that fry. It goes in the discard pile, not because of germs or anything like that, but just because it's been a rule of mine since I was young and I don't break that rule.

No, not really. I just like the feeling of a clean sweep and when you touch bottom, it ruins that. There are plenty of other fries, why obsess over a tainted one?

Other quirks I have, although they are rather tame after reading this thread, is sometimes putting apple cider vinegar on fries or using au jus to dip fries in if I happen to have some around. Oh and I absolutely DESPISE American Cheese. When I go fast food I have to stress strongly I don't want that godawful crap ruining my burger.
