Seriously, not trying to be negative. Just factual. You called me the fool. And, did you really not actually WIN, and just elected to not return money that was"t yours???? I seem to remember a thread that explained it so I won't rehash. You did not truly win. And, just tired of you begging. And your first post seems to have enough people that want you the way you worded it. Why don't you just use them?

My team tied for first place.........we did not offer to pay the extra money back to the Hilton and they did not push the issue because it was their mistake...........we offically tied for first place with the same record as the other two entrants. We won $130,000........we had a sponsor who collected an extra share.

I think this is pretty accurate:

Not sure how many heard this story from the 2004 contest, the important point is they did the right thing.

A three-way tie for first in the Las Vegas Hilton SuperContest was broken a week late, with 73-year-old Gary Garramone being declared the winner Tuesday much to his surprise.
On Friday, the Hilton announced its NFL handicapping contest ended in a tie between Garramone, Mark Hoover (a proxy for Let It Ride Sports) and the three-man team of Peter Kowalski, Ray Maternowski and Myron Wilson.

Each winner was awarded $131,520, an equal split of 64 percent of the total prize pool. There were a record 411 entrants in the $1,500 buy-in contest, which required entrants to pick five NFL sides every week.

The winners tied with a 52-32-1 record. But there was a tiebreaking rule that was overlooked. Garramone won the tiebreaker by posting a 12-3 record the last three weeks of the season.

"I've been in the contest almost every year, and I didn't know anything about the tiebreaker," said Garramone, who will be paid an additional $115,080 today by the Hilton.

The contest winner is due 40 percent of all entry fees, with second place earning 16 percent and third place earning 8 percent. The second- and third-place finishers were overpaid but have declined to refund any money.

Hilton sports book director Jay Kornegay said the mistake was discovered Sunday and the company made the decision to absorb the loss.

"There was an error made in finalizing the results, and the Hilton has addressed it and paid the rightful winner," Kornegay said. "The executive management of the Hilton deserves credit for handling it the way they did."

Garramone, a Philadelphia native, moved to Las Vegas in the early 1970s and is a retired professional gambler.

"Jay called me and was very apologetic," Garramone said. "I said, `Let me put your mind at ease. I accept your apology.'

"How can I complain? Everything turned out well and I'm satisfied."

Joker I'd like to ask you a question please. You win 1/5 of $130,00 and the Hilton makes a mistake and pays you to much. Hilton doesn't press you for the over payment, what do you do??? There were 5 of us and we elected to keep the extra money. No law suit, no phone calls, nothing. Hilton just said keep the money it was our mistake...........what would you do??? Remember the money had already been split up between the 5 of us.

don't associate me and my team with your name. We are winners on our team and not tiebreaker chumps. They'll all be sending me money, it's all been worked out already, and we will win.

each of the three team members will pony up 1/3 of the fee, and because i am going to "sponsor" the team, when we win I'll take a low sponsor fee of 40% off the top and let them split the rest.
They'll have to just sit and hope that I don't stiff them.. which is believable since I haven't sea-lawyered my way to other people's money in the past.

A great time will be had by all. I will post minutes of our weekly strategy meetings that will begin tonight, and carry on through until the season starts.
Good luck with your plays Boys, but we're on the other side.

No less than FOUR TIMES do they state who the winner of the contest was in this article. Oddly, it wasn't you. Yet you keep telling us you won.
Weird. I gotta go back to school for reading comprhension I guess.

The top 3 guys all had the same record

Because Garramone went 12-3 in the final 3 weeks he was declared the official 1st place winner, even though all 3 of us had the same final record.............I know this, this is nothing new...........a 3 way tie for 1st place with Garramone winning the tie breaker.

He got his money for winning the tie breaker, an extra $115 grand........

I would be interested in joining a Hilton contest team next year so keep me posted. I feel like I have a better handle on totals than sides so it would be a bit more of a grind for me but the NFL is my passion and I dont have any problem with putting in a lot of extra time and effort into capping it. Thanks for the props for winning the ppabart nfl contest this year, lots of great cappers here, yourself included for sure! Great job this season
