Ok folks, as promised, we will be having the second edition of the PPPP(Private Petey's Pick the Pitches contest) here at Madjacks. The first go-round(Private Petey's Pick the Personal fouls) here was such a rousing success that it just couldn't be denied. We just have to do this. As most of you know, this is and will continue to be the finest contest of it's kind on the net today.
We have a sponsor lined up before we start, this time. Of course the sponsor is once again madjacksports.
First Prize- $500 put into Infinity Sportsbook. This means that if you aren't already in the blockbuster contest that they are running for football, you will be now, along with the 5 bones to bet with as you will. In this case, the rollover rules will apply.
If you already are in the contest, or choose not to accept the conditions, then the first place winner will receive $200 cash.
Second Prize- $250 put into Infinity. As allowed for in their football contest rules, this will get second place a "half-share" in the contest along with the dough to bet with. Their rollover rules obviously apply.
If the second place finisher chooses not to accept the Infinity betting account prize, then they will receive $100 cash.
The rules are simple:
The contest will run from the baseball games of Monday 7/15 through the games of Sunday 8/4.
3 weeks.
Each day we will pick the total number of pitches made by the starting pitchers combined in every game on the slate. As in every PPPP contest, the lower the score the better. If you guess "345" and the total it "445", your score will be "100". I WILL NOT HOLD YOUR HAND IN THIS CONTEST LIKE I DID IN THE LAST ONE!!!!!! THESE RULES ARE SELF-EXPLANATORY (NIGHTHORSE). ANY SHENNANIGANS LIKE BARFLY TRIED TO PULL LAST TIME WILL RESULT IN AN AUTOMATIC EXPULSION!!!!!!
You can only miss 3 days out of the 21 to be eiligible. Each day you miss will be considered a mulligan. Only 3 mulligan's are allowed.
Just like last time, a thread will be posted in a timely manner by me every day and standings will be updated regularly. DO NOT PUT YOUR PICKS IN ANY OTHER THREAD. THEY WILL BE DISALLOWED AND YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED A MULLIGAN!!!!! AND YOU DON'T WANT THAT!!!!!
Everybody will have a score for each of the 21 days. Mulligan days will be the average of each of your other scored days.
Ex: somebody plays 10 days straight with an average of 34 and then takes a mulligan. That person will have a score of 34 on their mulligan day.
Ex: Somebody takes two mulligans on the first two days, then their score on the third day will be tripled.
