Nice sweep, Reb. \
I remember you from another forum, where I posted semi-regularly for the previous 2 years. Still will post there, every now and again.
I joined here earlier in the year and will try and get in a couple comments on games each week. This is a nice vehicle to air some thoughts.
UTEP v. Arizona State game is an interesting one. ASU or pass for me. Still unsure of their WR's. I like their RB and TE personnel.
Miners having erratic scrimmages. Palmer is the starter and it may take half a season for their O to produce. I think they will have success in the WAC. D has a shot to be decent but Sun Devils should put up the points. Unlikely that Miners can get involved in a shootout this early.
Another game under the radar is the Florida Atlantic v. Hawaiii game. I will usu. post a late Sat. pick and as such will involve a Pac-10 or WAC team.
Majority of books don't have a line and as such some may not have access to play this game.
I've been hearing that FAU had many positive scrimmages and are tweaking their schemes. Owls are a probationary IA squad and won't join the Sun Belt officially till next season, while becoming a full IA member in '06.
Hawaii inexperienced on D and like many teams at this point, they have a bunch of nagging injuries. But potential is there for a solid unit by end of the year.
Warrior RB special K (don't ask me to spell his name) ain't playing. Owls very small, if very quick, on D so his physicality in a finesse O will be missed. It's back to the smurf-by-committe e for Hawaii run attack.
Owls will give Warriors a scare in paradise.
