I love soda. Pepsi, Dr Pepper, root beer......I could go on.
The thing is, I am a diabetic, and soda is very bad for me. I find that diet sodas all pretty much taste like shit, no matter what "great taste" promise the advertising spin doctors throw my way. I can gulp down half a soda with my nose plugged, but WTF is the sense in that?
Well, a co-worker told me I should try diet green tea. I explained that I HATE tea, and she assured me that it didn't taste like tea at all. She poured some of her Lipton Citrus flavored Green Tea in a glass for me, and I reluctantly tried it.
I had to admit......It was not half bad! I asked her what other flavors it came in, and raspberry kinda piqued my sensory interest.
I picked up a bottle of the Diet Raspberry White Tea, and it was GREAT! I think I finally found a substitute for regular soda.
I found out that you must drink this stuff ice cold, though. It really loses something as it gets warmer.
Just thought I would throw this out there, if any of you are in the same boat.
