Look, I personally don't give a shit what either one of you do in this matter, I just know what I see from the facts presented:

• Ace told PP that he was sick of all his bashing of him, and said, "Put up, or shut up!"
  
• Ace laid out the claim, "any sport, any amount".
  
• PP answered the challenge, and sent Jack his stake of $600.
  
• Ace cries "foul", citing they never even set the rules. (IMO-back peddling)
  
• Ace continues to be verbaly assulted by PP, saying, "I put up mine, where's yours?"
  
• Ace now complains that PP is not playing with his own money. (IMO-back peddling)
  
• PP still looking like the 'good guy'. (IMO...... .)
  
• (IMO) Ace still looks like he's searching for the nearest exit.

I don't post much in general discussion, but this thread is hilarious. I play poker for a living and also wager sports. I don't know very many of you well, and even fewer personally.

The thing that strikes me as funny is that one of you is worried about where the money comes from. Who cares. I have to agree with yyz. When i risk money at the poker table other players dont care if its mine, or I stole it from my grandmas purse. What difference does that make. The point is that someone already paid their money. Who cares how he got it.

As for holding the money, jeeez its only 600 dollars. Apparently one of you said they make that in a day. What's the big deal about that then. If you don't trust someone to hold it then maybe Jack can permanently ban one of you from ever posting again if you don't pay the other at the end.

As for paying up, both of you should be man enough to do that at the end. But as far as worrying about where the entrance fee came from it is stupid to worry about how he got it. For example ace, if you buy a car from a dealer do they care if you borrowed money from your wife or parents to put the downpayment down. No, they just care that you have it. It's your business to pay your backers back, and not anyone elses.

If you are so confident in your ability to win, don't worry about where he got the money. Just be happy that he has it.

I am not looking to fold. I am not searching for the nearest exit. Jack is 110% right, my whole point from the getgo was to try to keep this friendly between Pete and I (or as friendly as it could be) while still finding the best handicapper between the two of us - which is why I offered $100 and a swapping of avatars in my mortgage thread. That is what this site SHOULD be about. If he couldnt afford to bet $600, he shouldnt have picked the amount, but he had to push the issue. Yeah, you guys are right it doesnt matter where the money comes from. But his point from the beginning wasnt to prove who was the better handicapper, it was to personally embarass me, he said it himself and thats not what I'm here for. I can go elsewhere and have people insult my family if I want. But it seems to be working since I am completely unable to control myself from swinging at his pitches in the dirt which you all seem to be enjoying. Well I've embarassed myself enough in this thread without his help, so thats going to end today.

The offer is on the table for 500 picks, $600, deadline of the Superbowl party, payable at that point in time. EZ is right, I dont see what the big deal is about paying up at the end, I really dont. A week before the SB wont be a problem. Bestbettor is pretty easy but its not perfect. You can use 1-5 units as a bet, so there is no chance of having a 100x amount bet to try and catch up. There are no parlays or anything like that. Its real easy to set up an account just go to www.bestbettor.com and sign up, let me know what your username is. I wont be able to sign up for a new name until around 5 or so when I get home, but it will most likely be something like acehistr8II.
