well exactly, Anthony s point was potholes in Lansing. I was just adding, in addition to potholes, the Roads bridges tunnels throughout the entire country are in bad shape, some desperate. Floods throughout the country have stressed dams and bridges, that haven't been assessed and reviewed for decades.
Most cities are strapped, and therefore AREN'T being helped by the federal government, because the federal government is strapped.
My uncle has a very unique epoxy paint machine that is one of only a few in the country that are used to paint lines on federal highways. He is generally away for months at a time, and has painted highways from Maine to Florida, TX to Alaska. Believe me, money is not going into infrastructure. Highways bridges dams etc. etc. are in poor condition. Cities like Detroit, Flint, Youngstown, Akron Toledo Lansing, and dozens others, certainly don't have money kicking around for Roads, and the Feds don't have money to help out.
That's my only point, lots of money that could have gone to very needing infrastructure, + home land security here in the states, immigration etc. etc. has been utilized in Iraq, whether it's right or wrong.
