smack talking basketball 3 point shooting contest

While playing poker with a bunch of young guys this weekend in el paso texas and watching basketball games on t.v. A few of the young guys were boasting how they could of made that open 3 point shot in the texas/kansas game.
So i threw out there that they could'nt make shit in front of people watching! Then i got that line i was waiting for the drunk kids to shout out to me. " i can kick your ass shooting basketball, white boy" lol
Oh how that sounded so sweet to the ear. Of course i instantly got the bets with both of them right in front of all their friends before they could back out. I was hoping for a 100. a shot, but with there friends there they wanted to know if i was scared? lol
We settled on 125. per one guy and 200. per shot with the other guy. Rules are 50 shots per person at 5 shots at a time which was my idea because if i went first, i was afraid they would back out of it,lol
I have not shot a lot of hoops since 1997 when i was playing everyday. But i did happen to win the Michael Cooper long distance shootout at the hoop-it-up tournament in 1997 infront of about 1200 people at the Albuquerque State fair grounds.
The game of horse along with pool and darts is how i made enough money in college to have beer money on the weekends,lol i i will be heading to the gym tomorrow morning with my wife to start shooting long distance again. I am sure it will be like riding a bike, besides i don't expect the kids to make much more than 25%. I will keep you posted after the match at 4 p.m. at the northeast ymca.
One of the guys just texted me he has the gym rented for a half hour and a announcer all set up as long as we donate a couple hundred dollars after the challenge. i said i will be glad to donate to the youth in the community. lol And now they tell me there will be a local book giving odds, don't know how he can give odds never seeing us shoot a lick , but i told the wife to take an extra ten dimes so she can bet on me,lol she said are you crazy? i said just do it! lol will let you know how it all turns out monday when i get back in town.
