PS3 ordering online?

For those of us not lucky enough to get a preorder, when the PS3 goes on sale online at all the various sites, bestbuy, target, etc will all those sites open up ordering at 12 am EST?

I am plan on being online at all the sites trying to get one, and will keep my fingers crossed, but just wasn't sure how it all worked.

11 days and counting.

As far as I know... You have to go to stores and there shouldnt be that many online sales. Also be warry of sites as sony has put out an "approved" seller list for online sales. I already took off on the 16th and 17th and will be camping out. Both circuit city and best buy will both have a midnight launch on the 16/17 12:00am at select locations.

FYI... anyone in jersey wanna join me for a PS3 camp out on the 16th... I'm off 16th and 17th so probably go there first thing early in the morning on the 16th and be bored off my ass....

I live not 15 mins from it.

guys, how do i know how to get the damn thing in memphis? also by the time i could get one, would it deflate the resale value due to many before me? :shrug:

Click the link above only 18 Best Buy stores are doing midnight launches for the PS3.

I dont see how the value could deflate, as there will not be near enough to meet the demand for the Holiday Season.

First off there is no camping....sale starts at midnight...so basically is it chilin at the store all day....there are bars/restaurants all around, so we go in shifts & then back in line.....dont know why you are being Debbie Downer on this one!!

Nothing to be ashamed of. I'm sure for some of the "big shots" here it is outlandish because $1,000 isn't much. For me it is a bi weekly paycheck so I'll take a chance.To make it a better "camping" experience my friend and I are going to load up on LASD and special k to make the time pass quicker. Just kidding!:scared

I think I am going to go to the Circuit City in my area around 4pm and see if there are 100 people in line, if there are see ya, if not looks like I am getting a PS3. However I have a feeling there will be a 100 people in line, but that will be my attempt at camping out.

Or maybe I should get there at 3 before school lets out and all the kiddes make it over there.

I am in North Jersey so I want to get there at around 6am on the 16th. Ask Jack for my email address if you want company and so I dont twiddle my thumbs all day trying to figure out what the meaning of life is.

Yes I definately am serious. I woke up at 6am to drive to my local game stop when they did the 8 pre orders for ps3. I then ebay'ed my pre order and my 599$ purchase sold for $1500 which I used to pay off the rest of the ps3 and the rest went to me which I am going to just turn around and buy 2 more if I am lucky. I have so much PTO days at work and I'm not big shot so to get paid to camp out to turn $600 into $1500 to $1800 is definately worth it.

My plan is to camp out all day on the 16th and then at midnight have a 1 ps3 in hand and then drive back home and camp out at a bestbuy that opens at 10am and grab another... 2 days off work for the chance of $2-3g's is worth it to me :D Especially when I just purchased a brand new car and could use extra $$$ to lose it all on sports :com:

You might want to swing by a bestbuy that might be in you're area for a midnight release. The circuit city sale has been advertised so more people might no about it as opposed to best buy which hasnt advertised their sale. I personally am going with circuit city because they actually have a plan on how they will be doing this and dont have to worry about riots breaking out and dropping elbows on people to get a PS3:142smilie
