On the course!
Green Bay is +1 at a lot of outs.

Now, is GB the "public team", here? If so, and you like GB, shouldn't you take them NOW?

I mean, once the 9-5er's get home and log on, the Pack will be favorites in this one, right?

You're probably right. Earlier in the week I wasn't thinking this way and I locked in Chi -1? because I was thinking the home team would be bet up to -3. Guess I was wrong. Hopefully the points don't matter in the end. Why do people like the Pack on the road? I know we'll be hearing a lot of the old "every game for Chicago is a road game now" stuff. As I see it though, Favre is the only reason GB even stays competitive now. They really are not a very good team. Looks like a good spot for the Bears to get back in the W column to me. Over is looking like the way to go with all the holes in both teams' secondaries.

The public likes the Packers because they picture "Brett Favre" in their head, they think wow I know him hes really good, the Bears dont have anyone I know, do they?

I like the Bears here.

betting against the home team on MNF is bad medicine..

its something i usually dont do. (except the eagles against the skins..)

but, i do like GB to win this game..
half of the bears D is either injured or rookies...

favre and Green should have a field day...

im not sure the Bears have a strong enough O to keep up?

GB +1 grabbed it now before the line moves but i could hedge..

i might just stick w/ the over:shrug:

I think both teams are public teams. I thought GB dominated the Bears in the 2 games last year but now we find out that Henry Burris, the Bears 3rd string QB, was stealing signals (along w/Pederson) as the Packers 3rd string QB last year. The Bears D is banged up, and the Packers D has been sub-par. I think the over is the way to go.

Public perception is about 50/50, (1,000 people pool) just what Vegas wants. I can't figure that one out because I thought GBay would have the big majority. Green Bay has beaten Chicago the last 8 times in Illi and Bret is 16-4 all time vs Chicago. So why is GBay catching points with Chicago's defense all banged up?

Scott agree with you the line will move with Chicago catching points at game time. If the line does not move jump on Chicago.

Glenn is going to play for GBay also. Migraines are gone, good ole Midol I guess.

Usually when I post I am totally wrong.

I lean toward Chicago in this one. Their D may score 7 for them by itself...

My thoughts exactly. The Bears are banged up, but people are forgetting that GB is too. ANd this Packer team has not been good enough to win on the road. The defense has terrible, and the Pack hasn't covered yet.

They were lucky to beat Carolina at home. Chicago needs this game and they have a bye next week, so I'm sure they are looking at it as do what we gotta do to squeeze out a win and then we get two weeks to get healthier and regroup a bit. Plenty of focus there.

Oh, and then there is the Favre-on-turf thing.:nono:

Ya, we are on the same side as the public on this one as far as the total goes. But sometimes the public wins too.

Big Guy has 61% on Green Bay, and 65% on Over. Yesterday these figures were 58% and 66% though...and the public (ok, too many times I have used that word!) bets late...so it looks like they are actually on GB and the Under a bit now.

I do think there are a number of sharpies on this board who aren't worth fading though, and a quite a few of them are also on this Over.
