Same thing happened last month when ESPN used a Spanish language telecast for a WBC game.

Also last year the Capitals Joel Ward was the subject of vile racism on twitter after he scored a game winning goal against the Boston Bruins.
Why perpetuate it by posting? Just adds to the morally repulsive drivel for everyone to see. People like that love it when you keep it going.

I'm guessing the sunglass dude is your way of noting it is sarcasm?
Not at all poon. Meant what I said.

does that one make more sense to you?
Looks mostly like kids, if you squint at the profile pics.
Don't expect kids on twitter to be insightful or polite.
Absolutely agree with you.
But isn't it problematic that they're even learning/being subjected to/picking up/internalizing this type of mindset in the first place?
Where does it stem from?
Shouldn't we try to completely eradicate it? Or at least address it somehow?

I don't know. It's just as possible these kids actual behavior is just fine and they just say stupid shit on twitter. I don't remember growing up with racism or having particularly racist thoughts. But I am sure at some point on amongst friends I said one or two racist things. I probably thought it was funny or edgy or just didn't think at all.
Didn't mean I needed additional education or anything. Just meant I needed to grow up, which humans tend to do.
The one "takeaway" from this stuff is to remind kids that the things they do on the internet far outlast the predictable growth in their behavior.
True.
But I'm also starting to believe (more and more) in a distinct (maybe higher) correlation between one's immediate surroundings and the culture of tolerance/intolerance that one is subjected to as a child.
