Lottery's Team of the Month Title Goes to Amy's House of Hair
A group of salon co-workers in Buffalo has been named the Missouri Lottery?s May Team of the Month, as part of the Lottery?s Captains Club promotion. The ?Amy?s House of Hair? team has incorporated Lottery play into their weekly Friday lunches ? usually opting for Scratchers tickets, but focusing on Powerball and Mega Millions when the jackpots grab their attention.
?We just like to have fun together, and it gives us something to look forward to on Fridays,? explained Amy Gronniger of Urbana, who serves as the team?s Lottery coordinator. Other team members include: Mandy Strickland and Alleyn Wolcott, both of Buffalo, and Courtney Prater of Tunas.
After a week of working ?to make everyone who comes into the salon look and feel like a million bucks,? each person contributes $5 toward the team purchase, hoping to win a million or two of their own.
?So far, our winnings go toward our lunch dates and tips to Carol at Maple Street Grill,? Gronniger said.
?If we win, we win as a team,? she added. ?If we were to win big, the first thing we would do is call a travel agent; Amy?s House of Hair would take a vacation!?
As the Lottery?s Team of the Month, the ?Amy?s House of Hair? team will receive a prize package of Lottery merchandise, as well as a feature on the Lottery?s website.
