1. ND is a quality university in terms of academics, prestige, etc.

2. In terms of integrity, ND is no better than USC, Ohio St, Texas, Bama or any of the other top programs. I wouldn't waste my time arguing ND is worse, but i'll admit that the "they do it the right way" chants by the fan base and some media annoy me simply because it isn't true.

If anyone has a holier than thou routine, it's you! The way you have gone in here instructing me that I had a major fit and that I carry on like an ND fan....I guess you know me better than I know myself if you are able to state to everyone what you think I am about, incredible! You come in here and go on like everything you say is correct and nobody is correct.......with your holier than thou rant....seriously blown away. Since I defended one school against the SEC, I guess I must be a fan of that team. I guess I am tired of the pre-season rankings giving SEC teams that ability to say we beat 4 top 15 teams.......when we all know that some of them never belonged there to begin with. Sorry for the rant but I know many on here feel that way when it comes to the SEC. Do I love watching SEC football? Heck ya....but I am allowed to defend programs when I see fit as you do so all the time, but I guess its okay that you do!

If it makes you feel better, he's probably not even reading your posts.

Please dont sully USC by comparing them the likes of a school that harbors and protects a child molester or has a head coach knowingly and repeatedly lies and to the NCAA so thay can play in a BCS bowl game. Granted SC's punishment was worse, but the crime was a misdomenr comparitively. That said, USC, LSU, ND, Harvard, whoever can never insure that their 18-22 year olds will behave like 40 year olds. Kids do stupid things and if Gholson is allowed to continue after this punishment, I see no problem in that. Kids need 2 things - discipline and forgiveness. I see no problem in how ND treated this.

fair enough......well said my friend!

Btw, Lsu just suspended their starting tb for punching a man who repeatedly called him a nigger. Now, I question the character of this tb, since he had already been arrested for sharing video of a freshman at his HS giving him and another senior blow jobs, but the point is that Miles, who also kicked perriloux off the team for a series of minor issues, isn't one to take BS from these kids.

Which guy called him a nigger? The one getting up from the ground?

Some great video at the bottom of this link.

Where it is real F ing COLD
No one can doubt the success of the Tigers on the field but man they have had quite a few sketchy players off the field. More so than most schools. Oh well when you root for the Gophers, college football really blows any way.

Sounds like he might miss the TCU opener.

Statuatory rape + assault + battery

Geaux Tigers!!!!

After a one game suspension (as much as you can call leading your team onto the field and being available to play a suspension), he's back on the field for game two. :0074

Nice to have some more data points before the Sports Illustrated article comes out regarding Les' reign in Stillwater.

Put down the bottle during the week and get on the treadmill for 45 minutes 5-6 times weekly. It'll do wonders for you upstairs :toast:

Seriously, antidepressants have nothing on a little daily exercise. Ytb!

I read that this morning. Miles has since learned that allowing boosters into the locker room is bad practice. When he came to LSU, he stepped up his game in that regard. I love that he learned from his mistakes :toast:

Makes sense now why Deforrest wouldn't come to LSU with Miles despite the offer of a raise. Miles thought Deforrest spurned him, little did he know that Deforrest was on the take from the boosters, so would have actually taken a pay cut at LSU......

Tongue-in-cheek is a phrase used as a figure of speech to imply that a statement or other production is humorously or otherwise not seriously intended, and it should not be taken at face value

Do you really think I am going to sweat what happened at Okie St 9-11 years ago? LOL What, am I married to Miles now??
