I myself have been guilty of doing this on occasion. My reasoning, sometimes it's easier depending where I'm at. I don't write "I have a super duper really big play for tonight so stay tuned and I will give it to you when I'm good and ready play". For me sometimes it's easier to post the record and maybe a recap to get it out of the way. I know there have been times that I started the thread with all intentions of posting, then get sidetracked. (IE work or family life)
For what It's worth, I don't come here to help people be better gamblers with info like.....
This team does this when they are 115-8 when it's raining and the stadium crew turns the lights on early at 4:15 pm, they pop tarts for breakfast, and only crapped once in the morning while reading the sports page on wednesdays, but when that happens on Thursdays the team is 2 -47.
Ultimately I am here right now to learn and make myself a more desciplined handicapper through insight, money managment, and better record keeping. If in turn I can help someone else through any information I may provide or a past experience that is fantastic and what this site is about.
As far as posting plays in both threads, I agree, but maybe not everyone has the time to do that, or desire for that matter. I try to do both because it helps me with my records and the Team to win.
No one will ever do everything that will please eveybody. That's just life. If it pisses anyone off that bad, why read said person's threads?
Not sure if that's exactly what you were looking for YYZ or not. Since I don't do it all the time it's really just situational for me. Can't say why the people that do it all the time do. Just their bag I guess.
Best of luck
