I was wondering when someone else would step
in and say what I was thinking, this thread does
not have a warm fuzzy feeling about it. Shit this
deep does not need to be discussed on a public
gambling forum, given the current environment.
You can bet your sweet ass a few sets of eyes
are monitoring all gambling forums. Quite frankly,
I sometimes worry about the posibilities of MJ
getting some kind of shakedown from the Feds.
Not trying to stir up any crap, I just don't trust
anyone anymore, especially out govt. :SIB

Since he is retired, what's the problem with him offering advice of how it would be done if say someone was thinking about doing it? What's wrong with that?

I used to take wagers. Almost got busted toward the end and gave it up a few years ago.

I had more than 20-30 guys and had a huge bankroll. At one point had closer to 60 people which makes answering phones a complete nightmare. Not getting into specifics with an open message board, but I had some big players who played sizable action.

Best customers play a ton of parlays and teasers. They also will do dumb things like tease totals and they always tease the Monday Night Football game. You make your money off teasers as long as you avoid 3-team 10-pointers in NFL... these seem to be the only teasers that do well.

Biggest problem is your phone is always ringing and collecting from numerous people can be another fulltime job. You also run the high risk of getting busted as most locals get nailed sooner or later. Too many people with loose lips will sink ships.

I know two locals in my area that have yet to get busted. However, I know many more who have gotten nailed and a couple even did some time behind bars.

What he said. And Im retired, but I was stupid to be saying anything about what I used to do. That NBA disaster was enough for me..... But remember NFL and teasers and ALL props are where its at.
