let's not fight about this keep it nice everyone is a fan of someone so don't be rude be nice and say what you feel with out calling others names.

I am not really a fan when it comes to any team i do lean to wvu, texas and miami always have been a horns fan after wvu back when i was very young when they had jam and lamb jones earl campbell, and miami after that back when they had howard wvu all my life but now i play for or against anyone.

do you think n.dame should get a bsc bowl i say no i think organ should and not a pac 10 fan i am from the east and spent most of my life in fl. then auburn and ohio.st should also go before nd. thoughts.

does notre dame DESERVE a bcs bowl? probably not.
but i still would rather watch notre dame as opposed to oregon.
and thats saying something, because i'm not a notre dame fan by any stretch.
i know oregon, by virtue of their record, has a good case for themselves. but i think they'd get blown out by anybody they face in a bcs bowl.

Oregon has one so-called quality win, and eeking out a win at home v Fresno doesnt look to impressive right about now does it.

It does now that USC just squeaked by Fresno St.
And as for the NBC Fighting Irish, I say NO.

since they automically qualify...yes

the hating in here is a joke (against sc and notre dame)

since there are two at large selections....who are the two most deserving teams that could be selected???:

notre dame
ohio state
oregon
auburn

the two best are ohio state and notre dame.....thus they are the two most deserving....next in line would be oregon.

again...it's the system and the bcs bowl games after the title game are mostly about selling tickets and tv ratings

unless there are some major upsets next week your bcs teams will be

sc
texas or col
lsu or uga
penn state
va tech or fsu
wvu
notre dame
oihio state (who is the most vulnerable if texas loses...osu will be eliminated since colorado will auto qualify and texas will get the other at large bid)

where is there hating in this thread i must of missed it I myself think ohio.st and auburn are the 2 teams who would do better but oregon is 10-1 i don't care who you play and what conf your in you have to do something right to go 10-1 in college fb, same way i say usc is #1 till some one beats them, it was the same way with miami for a few years, but i don't see any bashing in this thread will re read. maybe i missed it. if so lets keep this clean so it does not get locked.

Sun Tzu did not know that man that ashame he played back where they had those tear away shirts. could not grab him by shirt if you did you got a hand full of cloth.

Gin are you sure about that auto qualify they have to be picked as a at large team don't they? bcs has me all messed up thought only auto teams were conf ties then bcs had choice of 2 at large in top 10 of bsc standings to choose from. watch ucla beat usc then you would have a real mess or tx goes down in big 12 championship. even worse if va.tech goes down to fsu. n.dame is not va.tech IMO. but your right about money that is what i said in my post early today n.dame pulls fans from all over. not just from south bend.

ND is not automatic. They are simply eligible now.

UCLA is nowhere near the mess it should be since the Pac 10 has a ridiculous tie breaker. UCLA wins and USC still gets the BCS bid - ridiculous.

So. Cal
sc is in no matter what...they won the pac-10 bid

nd is in no matter what....they auto qualify as an at-large

there is basically one spot left.....assuming no major upsets

ohio state is the likey choice (vs nd in the fiesta bowl)

however there are still scenarios that could cause ohio state to get bumped (like colorado getting an auto bid or possible uga getting an auto bid and lsu being chosen above ohio state...highly unlikely and fsu getting an auto bid and va tech being chosen ahead of ohio state....or ucla beating sc and ucla being chosen over ohio state as an at large...very doubtful)

not true nd is in

and the pac-10 has it right....if ucla beats sc....ucla, oregon, sc would all tie for the the top spot and sc wins the tiebreakers and gets the auto bid...they clinched last week when oregon beat osu

GJN you are simply wrong. No surprise there. Try looking it up.

In reality they are in because anytime they qualify they will get picked.

Why even argue about this absurd bowl system. The Thrifty Car rental Sea World Poulon Weed Eater Bowl is usually more entertaining than the "BCS" bowls. I liked the old system better. Big Ten vs. Pac Ten in the Rose Bowl. Instead now, we get Pitt vs. Utah in the Fiesta bowl. It sucks and it is protected by the Tourism industry in Florida, Cal and all these other crap little towns that have bowl games. The only reason we all care is because we bet on them. Does anyone without a bet stay up on New Years Eve to watch the Diamond Walnut Emerald Bowl between Boston College and Colorado St. Nope, just the Sick bettors. For what it's worth, no one cares about Oregon, so no bowl will touch them with a ten foot pole.

Roger I cant really argue with that. There are far too many bowl games. As bad as the Big 12 is this year you get to see 8 of those teams in bowls, and just missed on Baylor and AM. Ridiculous.
