Here is my version. My name is Cie, my wife works full time as a pediatric speech language pathologist, and she would kick my butt if I changed her digital plan:mj07:

Exactly. Making decisions for a grown woman like that. Laughable. He acts like he owns her.

Interesting dynamic, dogs. My comment was sincere, and certainly not meant as any form of attack.

Had you made above remark I would have had nothing to say--unless if asked.
Then reply would have been I have no prob with your changing her plan or her kicking your butt.

The situation here is little different. I pay for her phone plan--and she's only been in this country 6 years.

Wasn't but a few months ago you made another comment about "warning me before" on an issue.

I like you a great deal as a person and think you are a valuable asset to forum-
-but would like to ask you to think about it before-- "warning me"--or lecturing me on issues as this one- in the future.

So..........Hedge is the new Raymond?

OR

Are they one in the same?

No, you missed my point. When we had threads of this nature, that idiot would come in with a gallon of gasoline. He'd say something racist or completely over the top and that would be the end of the thread. Without him, everyone shows just enough couth to keep the thread alive, no matter how painful the conversation seems to get.

adjective
1. showing or having good manners or sophistication; smooth:

noun 2. good manners; refinement:

don't think one can read this thread from the begining to this reply and truthfully come to that conclussion.

some mighty mean-spirited remarks about how others choose to live and their ways and means of doing so.

remarks I doubt very much would be said in a face to face encounter.

In fact I would say it is a mortal lock somebody would be on their way to the emergency room.

A very sad commentary for grown and supposedly mature adults to remark and conduct themselves.

Hard to imagine some of these folks ever even considering attending a MEMBERSHIP function knowing certain others would be in attendance.

What a shame...

I believe the expression is..

"walk a mile in my shoes"
