Well as promised, here is my quick overview of my recent Vegas trip. It REALLY sucked :cursin:

As some know from me asking for advice on Hotels we stayed at The Orleans. We did so because my Mom and my Aunt have stayed there for 8 years and love it. Its off the strip and they have a free shuttle to the strip that runs constantly. Well let me tell you what a PIECE OF SHIT this Hotel was. From the time we cheked in, it was dirty, our AC in our room wasnt on or working :cursin: Only 104 in Vegas that day on the 7th floor no big deal right  So they offered to move us but we wanted to be close to the other 4 rooms we had there on the same level. So we said just fix it. Well they did but every time my Girlfriend would go to blow dry her hair, the fuse in the bathroom would blow. Yeah thats safe, not to mention they had to unclog our sink twice. All 4 elevators stunk so bad like puke you had to hold your breath while going up to your room. The craps table offered 2 X odds :mj07: and almost evey employee and dealer I came across were totally rude. In 3 days there not one person opened a door for me or said how can I help you or Sir or anyhting. WHAT A FUKING JOKE. I will never be back again and here is the response from the GM to our VERY LOUD COMPLAINTS.

Dear *********
This will acknowledge receipt of your email, highlighting so many
difficulties during your last stay with us here at The Orleans. I can
assure you that guest satisfaction is an area we are not taking lightly and
work very hard with our employees to achieve high marks in all of our
operating departments. If we have failed you, please accept my sincere
apology.

*******, on a future trip you are planning to Las Vegas, I would be
delighted to be personally involved in your reservation and hope you will
provide us another opportunity to serve you. Again, we do appreciate your
continued support.

Sincerely,

Horst Dziura
Vice President & General Manager

Yeah sure buddy I will be back to your Hotel REALLLLLL soon.

Im pissed off even typing this. I should have known on day 1 when the fat dealer dealt herself 3 blackjacks in a row the first 3 hands and I was stuck 100 before I even had half a cup of coffee down this wasnt the place for me. DONT STAY HERE!!!

Wynn Casino- VERY nice, has a large Ferrari dealership inside which is cool. The Poker room is FANTASTIC, most comfortable chairs I have ever played in and very nice people. I played in the 1-3 No limit game and started with 200, ran it up to 450 and then lost a 900 pot with QQ vs 55 :cursin: That was the end of a bad day 1 at 4am.

Paris- Very nice, had the best dealer of the trip here and had a blast at this place.

Alladin- Sorry Fletch, went here hated it no vibe at all, lost my first 11 blackjack hands and exited very quickly.

Harrahs-Offered to comp my room for 3 days and anything else I wanted but when I went there to eat they said I didnt have enough points for a buffet :mj03: plus it smelled like my Grandma, no offense Grandma.

Bellagio- I loved this place, the water show is great and so is the Flower Garden. Very quiet and uppity though. Was doing well there, went to the Craps table and bought in for 100, tossed the Pit Boss my card and he threw it back and said "you must have an average bet of 25 to be rated with us", So I threw it back and said I have 100 here buddy. He said unless you bet it all at once you wont get a rate. Fukc you Bellagio!!

Lawrys Steakhouse-DELICIOUS Prime Rib

Thats about it, only played Poker the one time as I wanted to spend the week with my family. I blew every dime I took other than 1 hunderd dollar bill which I refused to part with. All in all wasnt a very good time. :cursin:

I have considered that, we were waiting for the response from the GM which we got today. The place was horrible. On top of everything mentioned above, every ashtray was full at almost every table, one of the tables I sat down at I asked the releif dealer as she came to the table Hi how are you, her response was I just turned in my 2 week notice, how do you think I am :mj07: :wtf:

Well if you would have been there to see this dikhead and his attitude. I mean its a 5.00 table 100 isnt enough of a buy in? Why be rude?

Thanks Jack, thats what I was thinking. I just couldnt get over the attitude of most of these places. I had always heard people treat you really well, smile, call you Sir, hold the door open for you and all of that. I dont want people kissing my ass, I just expect people to be courteous. They all had the Riverboat attitude that you cant go anywhere else when in reality there is another casino right next door. Had a great conversation with a taxi driver who has been there for 30 years. He was telling me about how great Vegas used to be but now its a circus, seemed about right to me.

Next time Agent, hang out at Harrah's. My favorite place in the world! Great for a middle class regular guy like me. They treat you right. I cant stand the way they treat certain people at Bellagio or even Caesars.

Did you get to golf, told you not to stay at kiddie land but really shocked with how you were treated at the Orleans, told you not as good of a place as people think t is out here.

It was not bad at all almost 10 years ago but with all the people moving here and then the double the amount sneaking in your just a number in the circle of Vegas who they really can give a rats ass about you and gets worse by the month. Most cities can say the get better or worse by the year out here it goes by the month.

growth growth and more growth and not going to stop run out of land well you just build 50 floor condos is all. might not happen while I am hear but it will happen when they get their big quake and it will destroy all this cheap construction that looks great to they eye but you will see how god it holds up with some stress fractures and the earth start to rumble. hell just from building and having these huge earth moves and blasting people in certain of the valley house are cracking like dried mud thrown over chicken wire and some white wash for paint.

Vegas has changed! The corporations have taken over!! The mob did a much better job. Food is more expensive than it's ever been!! I was comped at all major casino's in the 80's, I didn't have to pay for rooms or food or shows and my average bet was only $100 a hand of blackjack. Went out last month for the first time in 10 years and food cost was outrages. I tried to get comped up on arrival and was told I had to play first and get rated allover again and I could understand that. I was at the MGM between me and my daughter we dropped 2000 in a day.We only flew in for a day of gambling. They wouldn't even comp the room must less the food. We were betting 50 a hand in blackjack, but they said we didn't play LONG enough to get anything comped. In the old days we wouldn't pay for anything...Screw Vegas

agent,

sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience with the orleans.

my wife & i spent this past weekend at caesars palace with another couple.....we booked their"executive suite"...we were told that it consisted of two master bedrooms separated by a living room.

when we checked in we found that the rooms were adjoining but only one had a living room & that was on the other side of the room, not in between the two bedrooms.

these rooms were a dump !!

some of the furniture were broken.....there were stale wine stains all over the carpeting... & the hot tubs were dirty.

after complaining they comped us 50% off the entire room charge for the weekend. but the rooms weren't even worth the 1/2 price.

our neighbors in the next suite had no maid service for 2 days & when they complained they were offered only a $50 comp.

we had much more problems in the casino, the pool area, & the restaurants......but will take too long to explain.

the bottom line is i would never go back to caeasrs palace....even if it were free.

i would rather stay at a motel 6 than there.....

at least motel 6 will leave the light on.....with caesars the light would be broken.
