Always been a "real" guy. Wife persuaded me to get the pre-lit fake tree last year. So damn worth it in this busy world. Easy up and down.

Grew up with fake, only do the real thing now with my family.

Cut down this bad boy, 10', in the NC mountains. I will admit, after asking and being told it probably took 10-15 years to get this big I did feel little sad about it but at that point it was done-

Did the real thing, did the real thing that we could plant after Christmas, did the fake thing, doing the quality fake thing now and getting ready for this thing in the next couple of years.

Went with fake this year as well............Seems like such a waste to cut a tree, drag it into your house just to toss away a couple weeks later....

Fake. Why in the hell would you want to kill trees, year after year, just to throw them out after 4 weeks? It seems short sighted and I don't understand why anyone would put themselves through the hassle.

I put up a real tree at my lady's apartment last weekend. Freakin' 9 foot, sappy, heavy thing shedding pine needles all over me. Pain in my ass to put up.

We switched to real trees a few years back. Aren't many of the trees provided from tree farms? Its not like I went and cut down a redwood tree from some National Park.

Small family farmers replant every year to ensure that this renewable resource is available to all of us each year.
