I played a sat afternoon game at CCBC, thought I was in another world:scared :scared It was worse then when I got stuck playing rf at a game at FAMU due to a guy being kicked out had just caught 9 then get stuck with the bleacher crew at FAMU they yelled eat some more pork #6 the whole game and threw apples at me twice. At the CCBC game a guy stabbed another right behind the back stop had chicken wire around the whole field and a dark cloud was hanging on every inch of the chicken screen yelling at us. it was quite a shocker at the age of 18, way worse then anywhere that i played in FL.

that's not a bad area, not then anyway

The article didn't mention the Double-T diner or Little Italy! Sabatino's couldn't be beat!!!!!

I remember a restaurant downtown where the somelier/bartender did a full performance while mixing a drink including faking shoulder pain stating that he was Bert Jones but I just can't remember the name of it! :( Anyone remember?

I am not talking about the county jc's which then were dundalk, essex and catonsville they were nice, this is the panthers balt city cc, and it was not a great place where they played in 83 very dark, not even close to the likes of dundalk, catonsville or essex which were all white the panthers were all black and were like that in my coaching years i doubt if it change that much and if you have a person getting stabbed at around 1230 pm on a sat at some city baseball field not what i would all a nice place. played there 3 times was same each time, they were a power house in early 80's . all inner city players.

>Shopping on The Avenue meant Eastern Avenue in Highlandtown

That's the neighborhood I grew up in. Nothing but pawn shops and dollar stores now.

I just stopped off in Baldimore on occasion for a change of pace (a big change of pace!) from my usual haunt of DC. And some crabcakes! I remember the Bromo Seltzer tower, and eating at Faidley's and Lexington Market. Plus, the coffee shops, eateries and bars in Fells Point and Little Italy.
