Everyone seems to be evaluating these refs versus a standard of perfection forgetting, every week last year resulted in blown and questionable calls.

The Giants game was clean on Thursday and most of the calls I saw today were correct.

I guess we will hear the interpretation of assigning a timeout in the last two minutes when the clock on the play is stopped and I'm glad the Cardinals stopped them since I had an interest in the game and the total.

We would rather have the "real" refs but, maybe a few less calls per game, fairly divided, is not a terrible impact.

I thought the ref explained why the previous time out by the Seahawks was not a charged time-out. Something about Seattle thought a pass was complete so they called time out, but then the pass was ruled incomplete,so the time out was not charged.

I thought that overall, from what I could see, the replacement refs did as well as the regular refs, or close to it. The regular refs better settle soon, or they will be permanently out. They all have good jobs anyway.

Hell I cant tell the difference

I can't either. Maybe better, actually.

There will always be bad calls but I think they did a good job from what I saw today.

The GB\SF officials were pretty bad. Inconsistent on holding\interference calls. Called too many chippy ones. The reversal of the block in the back call on the punt return was brutal. Have to believe that the league will step in before this group is allowed to call another game.

That said, the regular refs are just as brutal. I don't think they add anything to the game. The issue is not money, contrary to what some people like to think. It is that the league wants to control the quality of the officlals and have the final say in who refs and who doesn't. Of course, the union can't agree to that!
