Between Green Bay and Iowa City
I let out an audible, ?Oh my God?, when they announced early in the game that this was the same crew that did the Washington vs. St. Louis game.

It turned out to be prophetic.

Oh my God.

Quote: "horrible calls, badly missed calls, inconsistent calls, late calls apparently influenced by reactions and just some weird mysterious calls . . . coaches are best advised to save their challenges, they're going to need them"

Week No. 2: More of the same.

September 17:
Assuming the regular officials come back, the NFL has set them up to fail early by having them come back mid season without any opportunities to get up to speed.

Just sayin'.

NFL YTD: 7-0 (+9.50*)

ODDS and ENDS:

(3) A record of 7-0 or 0-7 doesn?t color in the least my opinion on the brutal officiating this year. In point of fact, my concerns about the officiating are solely derived from my devotion to the Green Bay Packers and their pursuit of a 14th World Championship, and has nothing whatsoever to do with whether I think it justifies some whining about a $40 wager. In any event, how even a casual fan, much less a serious fan, can?t tell something is seriously deficient with the officiating across the board truly boggles my mind, and I guess my best retort to anyone who claims they really can?t see the plainly obvious is to quote the cry one of my buddies directs at officials of every stripe, ?Try using your good eye.?

Oh my God.
