Let's say it 's 1000. We have millions of people in this country and around the world that suffer. I'm talking about human suffering and death. I'll focus on that before I focus on the dogs. Where is the outrage and the voice for human suffering ? I know we have to stick up for animals but this story has received more coverage than most stories of human suffering and that is where I draw the line. You have to ask why ???? I know it is a sad story, life is not fair. We are talking about dogs. America needs to get a grip and use the same energy to fight for humans !! We have got right wing bastards getting their panties all wet about dogs, what about the human beings ? Stand up for the people. If not fake outrage, this is stupid outrage. You right wing lappers, are always crying about the media bias. They drop a couple of puppy dogs into a story and you hit your knees faster than LEWINSKY !

Who gives a FUKC about people? We're talking about dogs! Assmunch!

1)...have you read the indictment,lackwit?....i advise compassionate human beings to not read it..... the activites detailed in the indictment made me want to throw up, and i'm not exactly what you would call "sensitive".....if even 1/10th of the alleged stuff was done by vick, he is one incredibly sick individual....

I want to read the indictment. Do you have a link to it, or where did you read it?

Bryanz, you are being ridiculous. I usually agree with most of what you have to say, but come on now. We are talking about innocent animals that were tortured and killed. I'm sure if someone did the same thing to 100s of children everyone on the board would be equally outraged. Animals are full of unconditional love, something that most humans cannot fathom to put into practice. If you have ever felt that kind of love from an animal, then you know why people love them back so intensely.

If you want to talk about the suffering of the world and humanity start a new thread. I think about that fcked up stuff everyday, but that does not undermine the disgustingness of what Vick and company did.

From my favorite Saint of all time, an infamous animal lover, St. Francis of Asissi:

Not to hurt our humble brethren (the animals)
Is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough.
We have a higher mission:
To be of service to them whenever they require it.

We were put here to be stewards of the earth, and protect everything that cannot protect itself. That includes animals.

sorta kinda

If you read the indictment, I don't see once when Vick was present when they killed the losing dog and they don't claim that he ever personally did. He just went to a few of the fights over a 4-5 year period, bet on them- and I'm sure he financed the kennel. The feds sat back and allowed these disgusting fights to continue for years in order to somehow implicate Vick and no doubt cut deals w/these other weasels. These prosecutors don't care about anything but putting a notch on their belt in order to further their own career. Otherwise, they would have charged the thugs that were running the shit from the start. Instead they allowed it to continue for 5 years- after ci's were instructed by the Feds on what they needed to do if they wanted to walk- Get Vick!

I'm not supporting Vick. Anyone remotely involved in that garbage is an ass. I'm just explaining how the Feds/US attorneys/prosecutors operate.

I just found the indictment and read it. Although he may have never personally killed a dog, he did more than just go to fights or finance the operations:

"In or about March of 2003, PEACE, after consulting with VICK about the losing pit bull's condition, executed the losing dog by wetting the dog down with water and electrocuting the animal."

I would have liked to hear that "consultation."

So I'm assuming "P-Funk" must have been wearing a wire- otherwise it would be heresay from some thug. If he was wearing a wire, why not put a stop to it right then rather than wait 4 years? "Yo, Ookie said kill that "dug" (thats how they pronounce dog in da' hood.) Vick could have put a stop to it by not giving his homies the bankroll to operate. Personally I doubt he did much more than that imo.

I look at the reaction about dogs and then compare it to the reaction about humane suffering here in America and around the world and it does not make sense to me. I still say the reaction was over kill. Why are some willing to go to extremes for animals but not for people ? Those that think this question is not valid , are not being honest.

Did you hear what they did to the dogs? What extremes are you talking about? It isn't something we permit in this country, and if you do it, you goto jail. If you kill a person, you get a harsher sentence....but if you do it, you goto jail. What the hell is so hard to understand?

You make it sound like killing animals is on the level. We're not asking people to put the lives of dogs over the lives of other humans, we're asking that you don't make them fight to the death for your enjoyment.

Hey Branyz

STFU

I don't know what country you are from, where I'm from I can say what I want. Think what I want. This prosecution is like the Scotter Libby prosecution, it's a witch hunt, to make a political statement. To those who say, did I read what they did to those dogs, I ask. Did you read what they did to that little boy last night in WV, The 16 yr old girl in Detroit, the young lady in Ten, the old man in NYC ????? ON & ON. Get a grip pale, there dogs. Go to China you commie bastard, they think like you there. Think about it !!!!

I thought about it. If I wanted to know about that stuff I would read the news. But this isn't a news site. This is a gambling site, where people care about sports. Michael Vick is a professional athlete.

Now you think about it.
