Hang in there Sports, really sorry to hear this. Went through the infection thing last year, several infections in my blood. Was out of work for a few weeks and was down to 160 lbs at one point, skinny as a rail. Got lots of love and support from friends, family, and work. Made a full recovery, but I didn't drink during that time and for 6 months afterwards, spent a lot of time getting healthy. I think you'll be just fine my friend :)

Jack & Co., you guys are awesome, thank you so much it means a lot...This site and Memebrs are part of my family and will always be....:SIB....The thoughts and well wishes here, text, pm, emails I'm overwhelmed.....Friggin Josh even brought me to tears yesterday, I think he had a plan to finish me off, the rat bastard.....:SIB

Still in ICU but feeling better, I can finally catch my breath and they let me move over to a chair.....I'm on a couple different meds to stabilize everything so my body can work to breakdown the clots.....Staff here is top notch, Dr. right on the floor checking in and the Nurses can't do enough for you....I'm not 100% sure but I think one my even be a Tranny, I'll try and get pics later....

Just a quick blip of how I got here....not proof reading too tired....

The last couple of weeks I've felt tired and worn-out and irritable....I thought it was just having a lot on my plate at the moment and allergies plus there's a respiratory bug going around....Monday I had basketball with the kids, running up n down the court for 2 hours....I was the normal tired/stiff at the end same as usually.....

Tuesday I was on the road driving clients to appointment for over 11 hours with no problem....I return to the office (climb stairs) filled out paperwork and left.....Came back down the stairs and took two steps outside and if felt like I hit a wall.....Shortness of breathe, dizzy....I figured I just came down too quick so I had my wife drive home....I got in the house and just crawled onto the bed for about an hour.....Got up and had a little supper and a beer and sleep for 9 hours.....

Wed. I cared for my mom at her house and felt worn out all day....

Thursday morning I went home and just felt like crap, heavy chest and light headed....Allergy count was high so I figured that was it....In the afternoon I felt like I needed to raise fluids from my chest...Still not feeling well I call my sister in-law who's an EMT and gave her my symptoms....She said get your ass to the Dr.'s or ER now....My wife came home and drove me to the Drs., I was in the exam room for a total of 3 mins and they said I was having an Life Threatening Event and they were calling an Ambulance....

Once in the ER they took a Cat scan and found the clots....Within mins they found a Hospital with a ICU Bed that had the equipment to handle my issues....

This whole experience has been a blur, everything fell into the right place at the right time.....My Dr. yesterday said "You should fell lucky that you are in relatively good shape for my age, most people wouldn't be alive right now"....

So I'm just trying to keep calm and let my body do it's thing.....Thank you again for all the positive thoughts it means a lot!!!!!

Got to run a new set of Nurses have arrived for the day.....:00hour

Glad to hear you're feeling better. :0074

What causes these clots? I'm always tired. Always. But that's been me for the last 20 years but I still get concerned about it and docs don't really have much to offer. Who knows.

Glad you're up and feeling better. Thanks for the update.

I was wondering about that...sports says he`s relatively active....I know I take an aspirin everyday .......

curious what would cause so many clots simultaneously?.....

anyway, very glad things are looking better....might be a great opportunity to kickstart a healthier lifestyle and not burn the candle at both ends 24-7...

hang tough,dude....:0074

Clint or Trevor can explain this better than I but here goes.....Everyone has blood clots that flow through the body this is what helps stop you from bleeding when you cut yourself. I have issues in my legs for unknown reasons at this point.....I had a clot there a few years ago and was on blood thinners for over a year....

One of my clots broke off and traveled from my leg straight up into my lung causing my shortness of breath last week....I'm fortunate that the chain of events happened the way they did and the response time from the doctors was what it was or I probably wouldn't be here right now....

The Dr. is sending me to a regular room this afternoon, if my test come back fine today I "May" be able to go home tomorrow with a ton of restrictions....:0008
