Well, unless you're a complete dildo, you tip on ANY bill based on full cost of the meal.....you don't tip based on "reduced rates" after using a coupon.
So, adding in the $2 I would pay for the $25 coupon........a $35 meal with tip, minus the $25, comes to $18
That's not bad considering the meal would have been almost $42 otherwise.

Franky's problem is he tried to buy a $75 cert instead of a $25 one. I'm gonna tip at least 18% anyway, especially at the Melting Pot. We will spend the $35 for sure too, so this is a no brainer for me!
I emailed this to a couple of friends and one of them replied back that his mom works for this company.
I will let her know some people think their pitch is misleading and they should change it to $25 coupon for $10 instead of gift card.

The restaurants around here they can be used at are mostly chains and can be pretty shitty (Metro DC Area). We don't get them for the melting pot (which is nothing special) but we get them for other shitty places such as Chevy's, American Cafe, and occasionally McCormick and Schmicks, and other local places, etc. etc. I usually buy them for other local places close to Alexandria. However, the best restaurants have no need to offer these promotions.
I picked up 4 of them for my vegas trip in 2 weeks. Hopefully, they're decent eateries. 80% off is not bad though!

ok, you're kinda right, but the $6 tip was part of the certificates, so they actually paid $50 on what should have been about a $115 tab if they would have tipped correctly.

went to barbque place...after 18% added bill was 46.00, so paid 21.00 with coupon.
not bad for appetizer--sweet potato fries
wife had meat and 2 vegetables
I had pulled pork, brisket, muddy ribs and 1/4 chicken-- plate
son had chicken tender plate
3 drinks.
