i'm still in my 20s, most of you are just a tad bit older. would you not agree that what makes sense for me on retirement investing may not make sense for you, and vice versa?

The worst thing you can do is panic, in two years this will be nothing but a correction. This has been an overreaction by the Democrats. Stay the course. If you are retiring in more than 2 years, sit tight it will be fine in time. I wish I had some money to invest, because this is when the rich get richer. Everything is on sale, it is like going to a department store and shirts that are normally 70 dollars are 5, relax people the market will be fine, it may take a little time, but it will be okay.

sorry for upsetting the good old boys club here at MJs. You've been successful at driving away the fringes here jack. Pretty much all that's left is you and everyone that agrees with you, and maybe a few others. So much for having a diverse group here. i guess it doesn't matter because as long as the degenrates show up and get you your page views, life is grand. it's too bad things weren't as fun as they were back when we first joined. I may not be mr. popular but have you ever thought about why you've lost some wonderful people over the years.

hey pug, you may have missed it in the garbage above but on one of my posts i thanked you for the blogs. i will add them to my daily reading and am looking forward to it. It's all about risk-aversion right? I'm not a huge risk taker, my personality is buy-and-hold. i just don't have the balls to make short term moves.

Hey i'm a 29 year old hanging out with a bunch of 40 and 50 year olds. nothing wrong with that or i wouldn't be here, but maybe it's like that "turn that rock music down it's hurting my ears" with our generation difference. were you the same guy at 29 and 50? i doubt it. you're right i speak from the eyes of a 29 year old....that will change in 20 years i'm sure.

lately if i'm not in 100% agreement jack feels the need to come on and take some sort of dig at me. just getting a little tired of it. people bash each other left and right on this forum and he's not out there calling them assholes. yipeee
