seriously...let me take a whack at it...

the packers are perceived by a large percentage of fans as the better team....they are going on the road as a fave vs a team they`re familiar with....and have played relatively close games with this year...

i think the packers have been fast starters of late...certainly the last 2 weeks they jumped out to double digit first half leads....on their current run,they don`t appear to do an awful lot of "feeling out"...they jump on you..they can score quickly from anywhere on the field...

and as yyz noted many times,their coach tends to sit on second half leads....gets very conservative.....sometimes to the detriment of the team(and the fans:0008 )...

the books are trying to balance this tendency with the 3.5 point line and they`re shading to protect themselves from another packer fast start....

just a guess....

maybe they're expecting a bunch of 2 point conversion attempts by gb in the first half.....i mean if they have a chance to tie it at 7, the book says go for 2.

I agree with your logic Weasel as it seems real sound!! If GB jumps out to a fast start though, they should be up more than 3 at half. Three is a push so I think it is the books way of helping to hedge their current action. 71% is on Packers, 29% on CHI and ML is split down the middle at 50% to 50% with my book...

yup, the only bet I won on the bal/pit game was the first half :facepalm:

I didn't bet today but I think your boys are going to have their hands full and might drop this game. they didn't win last week, the Ravens gave it to them and, of course, the typical miracle from Ben on 3rd and 19, but....

we shall see.

good luck though, i wouldn't mind seeing the north take it down again.

would be very hard to make g.b. a large road fave based on the track and the previous 2 meetings...
