Top-selling NFL player jerseys Rank
Player
1 Robert Griffin III
2 Peyton Manning
3 Ray Lewis
4 Colin Kaepernick
5 Tom Brady
6 Andrew Luck
7 Aaron Rodgers
8 Victor Cruz
9 Eli Manning
10 Patrick Willis
11 Rob Gronkowski
12 J.J. Watt
13 Tim Tebow
14 Russell Wilson
15 Marshawn Lynch

Robert Griffin III set a single-season jersey sales record on NFLShop.com, according to numbers provided by NFL PR's Joanna Hunter. (If you are curious, Andrew Luck was No. 6 in sales, and Russell Wilson finished No. 14.)

Joining a new team helped Peyton Manning reach No. 2 on the list, while retirement nostalgia brought Ray Lewis from No. 17 last year to No. 3 from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013. Colin Kaepernick rocketed up to No. 4, and Tom Brady rounded out the top five.

Some other surprises from the list: Victor Cruz was the second-most popular non-quarterback, ranking No. 8 overall. Tim Tebow was the most popular backup, ranking No. 14 despite his lost year on the New York Jets. And Adrian Peterson's incredible year didn't translate to sales: He barely cracked the top 25. Troy Polamalu and Drew Brees both had big falls out of the top 10, while Miles Austin fell from No. 11 out of the top 25.

The NFL also keeps track of team sales, with the San Francisco 49ers finishing on top for the first time since at least 1979. (The 49ers were No. 2 in 1994 and 1995.) The rest of the top six selling teams all are in the Eastern time zone: The Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots. That, right there, is your East Coast bias.

Unreal that there were that many sucker Jets fans to buy Tebow jerseys.

His ranking is still more than his pass attempts for last season. :mj07:

Hard to believe Lewis sold so many. I guess the Ravens backers for the Superbowl parties and whatnot. Hell, he's one of the most hated as well.

And RGIII

Who the hell watches the Skins?

"the bunker"
as brother jack knows,we`ve had redskin games foisted on us here in b`more for several extremely lean decades due to geographical proximity...

but now that rg3 and alfred morris arrived on the scene it`s an utter pleasure watching the skins...

have to be two of the hardest working, likeable young guys to hit the same team in the nfl in a long time.....

i`m a ravens fan to my core...and that`ll never change.....but i have to say listening to these humble, smart upstanding young dudes is an absolute pleasure to beholsd and i have to say i`m a huge fan of them both...

they`re almost impossible to dislike.....and it really seems to have galvanized the b`more/d.c. area .....

the skins and ravens are becoming a great rivalry and come football season this section of the I-95 corridor is energized and rarin` to go....

i like these two guys about as much as a baltimore homer can.......until they play us,i wish them nothing but success(it seems inevitable if griffin comes back all the way from his injury)........

RGIII appeals to all demographics...He is well spoken, educated and very marketable, he is going to be an attorney after his playing days are over, smart guy...
