Anyone ever play the trail? I will be going in early March for a weekend only, Friday through Sunday. We will be playing in Muscle Shoals. I would like to do the whole trail sometime. Just curious if anyone has played there?

I have played Huntsville, Birmingham, Greenville, Mobile, Sylacauga and Anniston ... but I have not played the Shoals ... all fairly different and cannot go wrong at any of them ... also the par 3 courses are amazing

check out the card and jump on those back tees :0074

School Master in the Shoals is a great super hard course. Bring plenty of balls. seriously. The fairways are narrow.

Thanks gentlemen! It should be interesting, haven't touched a club in many months. It looks nice, not sure I want the back tees this early in the year. Is it harder that Charriot Run?

GL ...Most of the courses have tricky placed bunkers, some are even in the middle of the fairway, which I think is unfair to us average duffs. Greens are always quick, plenty of break. Is an awesome experience!!!!

Bham, Al
I live in bham and have played them all. You'll love it. Dont be in love with your driver - you'll need to hit many other clubs off the tee. The ones in bham and huntsville you'll have several shots where the ball is above or below your feet. The further south you go, the less you'll see of that. Agree with a previous poster that one of the courses in muscle shoals is a ball eater. Awesome place tho. My favorite is probably grand national near auburn. beautiful. they're all great. If you need anything while in the bham area let me know. Enjoy!

the key to playing them is just try and hit the fairways at the 150 posts or just under ... if you can hit your short irons you will be ok ... but one characteristic in any/all Jones courses are the greens and you MUST be on the right level ... most all are 2 tiered and many are 3 and 4 tiered :scared

the Trail is one of the best bargains for tour quality courses at public course pricing :0074

Just got back from the trip. Weather was ok at best, carts on path Friday. Fighting Joe had aerified their greens and they were in bad shape. Played 4 man scramble when we played that course. Played all competitive individual games on the other course and played really well. I was overall winner for the trip in our group of 12. Great trip, will do it again for sure.
