i have some in the attic. I have traps up there but is there anything else i can do to get rid of them. I dont want to put poison in the attic and then they die and it stinks up there.

Any solutions?

By the way im 20 yds from a 100 acre crawfish/rice field so i know thats where they coming from but i have no clue how they are getting in the attic. I have looked around the whole house and i dont see any way then can get in there.

It should be pretty inexpensive as well

They have all the right tools, chemicals, and know all the tricks, and it is not expensive. They will try to sell you a yearly contract which isn't that expensive either and it will cover everything but termites. They will try to sell you a termite plan and that is expensive.

Plus most have a warranty so if you do have a smell or re-occurrence they should come out and try to rectify the problem.

I caught a mouse in the attic this morning with no head. From the neck down the skin was taken off. Is something eating this mouse when it was caught?

I had roof rats before. I had some idiot from a pest control company come out and inspect and he said he seen no issues.

A few days later I head to the attic to start working on storage and all I see is rat shit on the drywall.

I had about 3 lbs of rat shit in my attic. I spent 2 days in 140+ temps shop vacin all of the shit out. It was everywhere.

Nice inspection there pest control cock sucker. I called and complained and was given a full refund. I threatened to deliver the rat shit to the front desk. :0074

Went out and bought 10 of those glue traps. 2 weeks later I had caught 5. Problem solved.I have not had any rat shit in my attic since.

If that had not worked I was going to try and find a snake. Best damn exterminator there is.

I would do something them things will eat your wiring away. I was lucky to have no damage.

I could see runs in the insulation where they were hiding at. I messed all the openings up and then inspected a day later to see where they were and set traps accordingly.

I know, it was an attempt at humor since you found a headless skinless mouse.

Do mice eat other mice?
Yes, mice and rats will eat a dead mouse.

Cannibalism is not common in mice, unless there is a stressor involved. If your mice are eating each other, check food and water levels. Mice should never run out of either; otherwise they may resort to eating each other. Overcrowding may also encourage cannibalism, or too many males (they may kill each other during a fight).

I caught nothing in mouse traps. Glue worked best for me. Keep doing what your doing and they will be gone before long.

Be sure to inspect your wiring as well they like to eat on the coating.

BTW rats and mice can turn to eating each other if their food source is dwindling up.

If all else fails get a black snake or a corn snake. They will take care of it and then leave once no prey is available.

You actually buy a snake and put it in the attic and leave it there?

:scared

I'd open that attic door and that phucker would jump on my face!

No thanks!

I think a snake is out the question.

I have 3 rat traps up there, 1 mouse trap, and a glue trap. All the mouse have been caught on the rat traps.

Question. In the summertime it probably is 150 degrees in the attic. How can they live up there during the summertime?
