It's easy to take sides in the Rush Limbaugh debate simply based on your political persuasion. However, he can be such an ASS that I find it hard to believe he maintains a national show.

Latest example (wish I had the link) is dealing with the soldiers that were tortured and killed. An avid Limbaugh fan emailed asking Rush if he thought the Liberals were happy about the recent killings. Of course, Rush said that Liberals are happy about the killings and that they are bidding "good riddance" to the deceased soldiers.

How can anyone with an IQ over 78 listen to this guy? If you only listen to 5 minutes a day on a ride to work, you might not get to hear some of his finer points (tongue planted firmly in cheek), but how do people consume this crap daily and come back for more?

What an ass.

I hope someone has a link to it, I only caught the audio clip on another radio show.

What IQ does a person have to have to take 3rd party hear say as fact?
Bad enough liberal blogs have their chopped quotes-partial quotes-quotes out of context ect
but here your sipping on the cool aide of 3rd party reference putting up quotation marks on what he thinks he remembers 2 party source saying--Sheez

I don't listen to radio so can't say much one way or another--but to take opinion of someone with agenda as gospel "quoting" what he heard from
2nd party source is embarrassing in my view.

1. Are you serious? Did you miss the part where I said I heard the clip played on the radio? Not exactly 3rd party hear-say when I listen to the clip on the radio.

2. The quotation is there for a reason....I'm QUOTING him. You can spin this however you like, I heard the clip from start to finish. Your making this out to be a once in a lifetime type of comment by Limbaugh. Wake up. This guy talks about the Liberals cheering for failure in Iraq every day. It IS his show.

3. You don't want to say much one way or another but you'll call me an embarrassment. Nice try. Are you making this up as you go??? Like I said before, I listened to the clip from start to finish. I didn't take it paraphrased from another source, I heard what Rush said from Rush.

No offence gmroz22--but I don't equate fact (which it might turn out to be) with someones interpretation of what they heard. You may in fact have what they said verbadem--but if in different context or partial quote--the his entire point may have been completewly changed.

If you know what program you were listening to --should not be hard to find transcript.
After you find it--post it and then we can make opinion.

Roger Do not view or listen to several on your list but on rare occasion but believe you are on the right road.

What I look for in commentators and pundits shows in general are
-topics-quests- and debate from both sides.

What I like least is pundits or shows that has guests that generally agree with their stance and you never hear other side.

Next would be pundits that have the (less than knowledgable) guest with opposing view to make their arguement seem stronger.

As you say-no one is always right or on the right side--

Unless Wayne thinks there is a chance the original poster is totally making it up, despite overwhelming anecdotal evidence that this sort of thing is exactly how Rush thinks, then I would think 'heresay' is pretty weak.

I can assure you that if, say, Gardenweasel heard an Al Franken quote on the radio straight from the horses mouth and posted it here, Wayne wouldn't be so worried about 'sources.'
