how do you get rust out of chrome, like on a bicycle wheel?

I heard there is a way you use Coke and aluminum foil or something like that.

But as you see i have no idea:shrug:

get chrome polish at the hardware store.

Blue Magic liquid metal polish. Works well.
Try just about any hardware store for the Wenol, maybe a big auto chain like O'Reillys, Pep Boys, Auto Zone might have the Blue Magic.

Chrome plating on most old bikes will have some rust on the (chrome) rims, handlebars, and chain wheel. The best thing to use in scrubbing it off is brass wool and soap. It won?t scratch chrome. If you can?t find it, use a very fine grade of steel wool and liquid dishwashing soap. Scrub all the spokes with steel wool, too.

There is some kind of pink jelly called naval jelly I think?? :shrug: Been many years since I used some, but it removes rust if I remember correctly.
