I remember when guys used to post up a paragraph or two, telling us why they used their emoticons of choice in a certain thread.
It used to be an art to insult someone around here, now it's become a fucking joke.

I'm personally trying to bring back "raising the roof". I think it is due and wish there was an emoticon/smilie to represent and help me with my cause.
I remember when people really didnt get upset when people are winning, losing, posting, not posting, or whatever... The Nolan Dalla days.... (he too busy for us now?)
The point is, whatever someone posts, someone is gonna get offended, jealous, upset, or excited a time or two over someone's thread. It cracks me up when someone is upset that a person pops up a bet a hr after the game has started and they jump all over his/her... WTF does it matter??? You WILL NEVER see me get upset because someone posted 20 winners after the day was over... Good for them. I just love the 'honesty post police'... Obviously they arent making money year in and year out. Or, they treat MJ's like a teen chat/facebook dealio hoping to meet friends....
My point is, WHO CARES what others are posting as long as it isnt offensive/racist or breaks MJ's posted rules on posting.
Just read this thread for the 1st time and am honored that Agent still thinks about me and spends time reading MY THREADS... Thanks buddy. Sorry I do other things in the day/night and cant always post shit on time. But to share an outside longshot that was placed earlier in the day and then I post it late when I get home, REALLY BOTHERS YOU??? JESUS. (quick prayer for fellow mankind). I mean the best for everyone and I KNOW FOR A FACT that PEOPLE MAKE MONEY COATTAILING ME WHEN I AM WINNING AND GOING AGAINST ME WHEN I AM ON A LOSING STREAK... Its not a contest. I enjoy posting the shit out of the day... Helps me quit pacing as much when I am watching 8 games, on the computer and my 3 tv's in my office. So, I PERSONALLY WANT TO APOLOGIZE (again) for upsetting you somehow on some parlay that I posted late (GOD knows when). But, I am going to continue doing this, CUZ I CAN, and ITS WHAT I DO.

the truth is; nothing has changed except we are busier than we were in the old days.
It may seem different because of the turnover. Some leave and are replaced by newbies.

Remember way back when....people used to post ANALYSIS and reasoning with their picks. That was good stuff. Now, they just post 5% or lock or outlaws or some hokey BS. Most keep their records for a little while until they get in the negative, then they disappear. Most stay gone, some crawl back and "reset" their record with a new system (see Wise and Wiser). Others just start threads to let us know what parlays they have pending (see Boundbook)
Even the best of the best: Kcwolf, Hawkeye, Titus, etc don't post analysis anymore, just plays. How is this helfpful unless I just feel like blindly following someone off the internet? Always enjoyed AR182 and how he posted his plays.
Such is life I guess....

Used to but why should I be the only one? Really just don't have the time to do it on a nightly basis there are SO many games in hoops. I would like to think I am "established" enough in college hoops not to have to but maybe not.

These goofs can do what they want it doesn't bother me. I don't come here to find picks or info anyway. Jack can posture all he wants but this place is a shell of what it used to be and he knows it. (in terms of cappers) Maybe that's where the whole industry has gone cause I don't see too many quality posters anywhere really. :shrug:
