The matchup would seem poor for Balt overall. Rice and McClain have struggled mightily picking up the blitz. Williams will be bringing the exotic heat. Young secondary vs brees in a big game, ill take brees. Saints ol played worst game of yr lw. Look for improvement this week in a spotlight game.

I get the feeling that this will be an ass-kicking, with Flacco and their old defense getting their collective ass handed to them at the hands of the current champions. Bush is healthy. Pierre Thomas is healthy. Saints D getting healthier.

my man...i don`t think so...i`m a ravens` fan,...but i always call em like i see em.....if i think the ravens are in trouble,i`ll say it...

this is a different team at home...

not saying a sure ravens` win..anything but.....but i honestly think the odds are pretty spot on...

the fact that this is now roughly a pick`em shows that the saints are perceived by the public as the better team...and given our fades in several games,i would agree with that....

but this will be a war...it`s very hard to separate from the ravens in baltimore...

it may well be the ravens with the last chance to pull one out....

and the saints have a very important date with the falcons looming next week...

i think it`s gonna be a great game....but certainly not an "open your wallet" game either way .....could be wrong:shrug:

there are several "game of the week" type throwdowns this week.....

Weasel, I was just fooling around in that op, but I did list some actual reasons this morning. Factors against saints include tough road environment against good team. Balt should be able to run IMO. Also, saints have Atlanta on deck. Not to say that Balt can be overlooked in this spot, but worth a mention b/c saints players are still bitter about losing a game they should have won had Hartley not missed the game -winner from 29

scoring is the biggest issue for the Ravens..

forgone conclussion their "D" is a shadow of it once self.

Can they keep up..They look like the Keystone Cops at times.

New Orleans is scoring 30.5 points and averaging 402.5 yards during its winning streak, up from 21.0 points and 371.9 yards while getting off to a 4-3 start.
The Saints have scored at least 30 points in their last five games, including a 31-13 win over St. Louis on Sunday, tying the longest streak in franchise history originally set in 2002. Last season, the Saints scored at least 30 points nine times, and finished with 510.

The above #'s wouldn't mean so much if they were playing the BIG BAD RAVENS..but this isn't yo mamas Ravens of yore.

Thus this team has to post a 24 spot ..can't turn the ball over ..and must stop the scoring machine that is the Saints..

this is true...i think the saints are the better team...but i reiterate...this is in b`more...and just a cursory look at the saints` last 5 opponents tells you a little something about that offensive output...

NO 34 @ CAR 3
SEA 19 @ NO 34
NO 30 @ DAL 27
NO 34 @ CIN 30
STL 13 @ NO 31

so far their toughest games have been at home(pitt and atlanta)......
the rest of that schedule is drecchh....

they`re squeaking by the dallas` and cincy`s...but they`re gonna blow the ravens out at home?.....

just not seein` it...
this is a tough game to call,imo...

and imo,neither team looks like a super bowl club...

Yea terrible towel really enjoyed that last encounter..gave up 39 at Heinz Field.. Think Pats could get 27 at home..Steelers damn sure don't have a road 28 in that sad bunch...

Steelers are not the answer to keep "Hoodie" from another Super Bowl fashion statement..

Weak secondaries vs Pats are a bad matchup from the get go..

Gonna be low to mid 30's, Ravens know they have to pressure him and just maybe Ravens will abandon the 3 man rush and rush 4 with more blitzes thrown in.

Ravens would be undefeated (go ahead and laugh) if not for poor coaching decisions in their 4 losses, in which they led the entire game only to lose in the final minute.
