i`m worried about this shitty vinyl siding...had nice heavy asbestos shingles originally but the old lady didn`t like the "aesthetics"...so we went with this paper thin vinyl crap...i went around the house with the ladder making sure everything was secure( we`ve been through several bad storms since we changed over)..gutters cleaned and secure...sump pump humming....windows and roof in good shape..sealed the basement walls with drylock when we moved in......but i just don`t like vinyl siding....

guess we`ll find out today...

expect to lose power this afternoon for about a week....

just lovely........:nooo:

stay safe fellow east coasters...

Stay safe man!

I'm worried about the trees. I have about 10 big oaks on one side of the house.

i hope they stay upright,mo.....we had several pines(with those damned shallow root systems)...they were nice, but i`ve either taken them out or they`ve come down on their own....the neighbor has a line of them that could fall on our power/cable lines:)sadwave:) ...

we have one tree on the right side that i don`t expect to be an issue.....those mofos can be a nice wind break, but they can also ruin your frickin` day....

sounds like <s>if</s> when the power goes,we`ll be in the dark for an extended period....

i hate this shit...i should move to idaho...

Not working today,

Having said that I don't understand all this fuss over a gentle autumn shower with a little extra breeze.

It's not that bad where I'm at right now. Doubt we lose power in Northern Virginia, but I've been wrong before.
