well,spank me and call me nelly.........the vinyl siding apparently held up...i`m pretty shocked...
the shed held together.......we didn`t lose power(absolutely amazing).....all i have to do now is look inside the shed and get on the roof to do a once-over(no spots on the ceiling,but that doesn`t necessarily mean we didn`t lose a few shingles)......
the only apparent casualty is the sump pump...it fried....strangely enough the water level in the sump well rises only so high regardless of how much precip we get....but i`m still replacing it...
all things considered,feel blessed that we got through it without any obvious real damage....the sound of the wind was so insane last night,the old lady insisted we sleep downstairs....it was harrowing to say the least....
hope everybody else made it through...

thanks joshi and cie(my brothers)........where`s morris?....the north got spanked pretty severely....hope mo still has power and got through this mess alright.....
it`s pretty f`ed up sitting in your downstairs listening to the weather gurus tell you that 10-12 inches of rain pelting sideways because of 90mph wind gusts is inevitable(for 24-48 hours)...and then hearing some emergency honcho warning people about the roofs blowing off their houses...and you thinking you`ll have to get out there and try and cover it somehow with a huge roll of plastic sheeting... .....it`s like waiting for the hammer to drop on your ass....horrible,helpless feeling.......
btw,they showed the house of the guy that was crushed by a huge oak tree in pasadena.....that poor dude never had a shot....it obliterated half his house....i mean crushed to the ground.....terrible stuff...
