Chad i think i disagree here. This is gonna be tough for Biden. To try and debate her and not come off rough. I think Biden is in a no win situation here. I can here them drilling him right now "Joe we can't come off as bullies"

have to agree completely sponge. Biden has to be careful how he handles her in the debates...

Went to bed at 8--fell asleep watching criminal minds and woke up when all the applause and hoopla commensed on convention coverage that followed. She no doubts got an A on speech--but concur with what Krauthammer said on interview following--she hit a home run but it's only the 1st inning.

--also was flipping over from law an order to fox prior during commercial--and caught the 2 singing "America" --was more inspirational than all speakers at both conventions combined to me.
Could relate to the mathew tingle after that.

Funny how both points would have been anti-Republican bulletpoints in 2004. Maybe it is a time for change afterall.

You can forget approaching any Republicans with sound thought and reason. If they had any of that, they would have turned on their party a LONG time ago.

Sponge was dead on, it wouldn't matter who they rolled out or what they said, these guys like Tide and DTB, the staunch Repubs, would be clamoring about how great they are. They are voting the big R regardless of who, what, why, how......that's what drives me crazy about these guys. Zero independent thought, they could care less about this country. It's as if since Palin didn't trip walking on stage and didn't stutter every word that her speech was a "homerun". However, I have a brain and I watched the entire speech and she didn't say 1 fking word of substance. If these guys had a clue they would realize how desperate their party really is. They have resorted to nothing but name calling which is the first signal of someone who has lost an argument. They would also realize how funny it is that the Repubs don't want Bush or Cheney anywhere near the convention and have done everything they can to separate themselves from that admin. Yet I guarantee you Tide still has that Bush/Cheney bumper sticker on his truck and DTB....well, you all know DTB.

Funny how all the blue hairs just ate up that joke about Soccer Moms and Pit Bulls:rolleyes: Any woman dumb enough to vote Republican because of this broad, were already Republicans to begin with. Could you fking imagine this dope running the country? Well, I guess nearly anything would be an improvement over Bush.

It is really extremely sexist if you think about it. As if woman in this country are so dumb that we will naturally vote for this ticket just because they put a woman on it.

And the republicans definitely think that is the case - Palin said in reference to Hillary's defeat: "It turns out the women of America aren?t finished yet and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all."

Give me a break...

Make no mistake, I would vote for McCain (and would have before) 100 times out of 100 over Dubbya. I would vote for his father the same scenario over him (although, with reservations due to his father and his own connections). For me, my negativity and bias deals specifically with Junior, the people who put him where he is, and those who ran the nuthouse with him.

I am happy to say, I will be ok with either of these tickets, but there's no doubt in my mind I would be much more secure in the thought of Obama dealing with world issues than I would Palin. I put a lot of value in Obama's intelligence, and his measured approach to situations - my interpretation of those, anyway. I think that he could do very well in the Oval Office and especially abroad. I don't worry about him "toughening up" to deal with things in a pinch. But I know others do, and I understand that. But Palin? No way, I don't see her being taken seriously by male leaders of some of these countries, let alone the lunatic fringe ones. In some areas, the fact that Obama is black will actually be a positive in dealings, I think. But, getting off track here - back to the show.

The biggest issue of all for me is the Supreme Court issue - and anyone who even leans a little to the left should keep that firmly in mind when voting. There could be as many as two or three justices move on in the next few years, and a conservative tilt in one or more positions would throw the balance entirely to the right - not a good thing either way, IMO.

I think Sarah is the best thing to hit the Republican party since Ronald Reagan. She is witty and real unlike other politicians. McCain will win in a landslide now, no doubt. The empty suit is now on the defensive and the liberal media is trying to dig up any dirt on her, they are not going to find any skeletons in her closet, I love it, McCain is a genius.

When I first heard Mcain had picked a Woman for his ticket as I was headed to my favorite beer and wing bar last Friday night I was flabbergasted. My first thought was Obama osama bin ladin was going to be the ticket in the White house for should. BUT after further review I would not only do Sarah I would vote for her. Not only did Mcain turn the tables on osama but energized the republican party and has given them a great shot at win. Should be interesting.
:hitit: and vote for it.

Sarah Palin is a reach and anyone with common sense could see that. McCains camp realizing they were in big trouble made a last gasp grandstand effort to woo the women's vote and of course selecting Palin being a pro-lifer also kissed the butts of the religious right zealots. Politics as usual. Protect your base (and everyone knows the republicans rode the religious right to the White House.) Then maybe sway the women. I don't think it will work, I think women are smarter than that.

Republicans are amazing. Less than a year ago they had thrown McCain in the trash can criticizing him unmercifully. Now he's the greatest candidate in America? I laughed at both McCain and Palin badmouthing the Hollywood supporters of Obama. They sounded like Hollywood folks were the scum of the earth. Only problem is, their shining star and the icon of the republican party is RONALD REAGAN
Duh...guess HIS movies weren't made in Hollywood. LOL

I respect John McCain tremendously as a person. Unfortunately, the republican party has dipped to an all time low. They'll do and say anything to win.
I'm sitting here watching the last night of the RNC
and the opening is CHEEEEEESEY!!!! If I hear about John McCain's military career one more time, I'm going to puke and I'm a vet myself. Now the ridiculous chants of USA! USA! USA! I mean really guys can it get any worse? Now McCain is praising George W. Bush. Unfortunately, its not for being one of the worst presidents in history.

RESPECT ASIDE JOHN McCAIN'S IS SIMPLY TOO OLD! & SARAH PALIN IS A SIDE SHOW.
