Here's my record for this track...
ONE DAY, (yesterday)
1st race: I went over this race real fast at first and marked ( DARK red ink) the no. 8 hoss on account of the breeding. Then I made the mistake of thinking I could handicap this race. Came up with 3 contenders, boxed them, no number 8 (threw that one out) and watched that MoJumper come home at $16.
2nd race: boxed no. 2 with 4 others. No. 2 wins but not with any of the zacta mates. BUT, did have 4 STINKIN dollars to win on that no. 2 which made the race profitable.
3rd race: almost identical to the 2nd. Played no. 2 to win (2 STINKIN dollars) and DID catch the exacta too. This was the ripoff for yesterday IMO. Now, I was feeling mighty good waiting for the zacta payoff cause that no. 2 was 11-1 and it was a large field of horses in that race. What does the stinkin exacta pay... FLUCK ... $61.40. Compare that to what an exacta pays with an 11-1 shot on top IN A FIELD OF SEVEN horses at Philly. Ya get lucky enough to pick an 11-1 winnah among a fileld of INCONSISTANT nags with little or no turf experience and coming from all over the country... and the zack pays $61.40?
5th race: played the no. 8 in zacks and to win and, of course, that one runs 3rd.
6th race: REALLY liked two horse in the finale, went overboard on both (wheeled and dealed) and the usual outcome in these situations --> bastages run 3rd and 4th.
Lets just say that I WAS a wiener for the day. Profit woulda covered my program, admission and a couple of beers. Er.. make that ONE beer.
I know the VIEWers are just dying to see the picks for today (LOL), what they do with them "I don't know?". So here ya go...
First race: No 8 "is bred to win races like this one" (beware, I got this phrase in my buffer and you'll see it plenty of times at this track. Hell, ya gotta go by something).
No. 6 is the figure hoss and 1,9,10 are zacta factas.
2nd race: No. 1 is bred to win races like this one.
No. 11 is the figure hoss and 1,2,4,5 are zacta factas.
3rd race: No. 12 is bred to win races like this one.
Nos. 7 and 9 are the figure hosses.
That's where I'm up to at this point.
Good luck the rest of the way.
