Here's my record for this track...

ONE DAY, (yesterday) :)

1st race: I went over this race real fast at first and marked ( DARK red ink) the no. 8 hoss on account of the breeding. Then I made the mistake of thinking I could handicap this race. Came up with 3 contenders, boxed them, no number 8 (threw that one out) and watched that MoJumper come home at $16. :(

2nd race: boxed no. 2 with 4 others. No. 2 wins but not with any of the zacta mates. BUT, did have 4 STINKIN dollars to win on that no. 2 which made the race profitable.

3rd race: almost identical to the 2nd. Played no. 2 to win (2 STINKIN dollars) and DID catch the exacta too. This was the ripoff for yesterday IMO. Now, I was feeling mighty good waiting for the zacta payoff cause that no. 2 was 11-1 and it was a large field of horses in that race. What does the stinkin exacta pay... FLUCK ... $61.40. Compare that to what an exacta pays with an 11-1 shot on top IN A FIELD OF SEVEN horses at Philly. Ya get lucky enough to pick an 11-1 winnah among a fileld of INCONSISTANT nags with little or no turf experience and coming from all over the country... and the zack pays $61.40?

5th race: played the no. 8 in zacks and to win and, of course, that one runs 3rd.

6th race: REALLY liked two horse in the finale, went overboard on both (wheeled and dealed) and the usual outcome in these situations --> bastages run 3rd and 4th.

Lets just say that I WAS a wiener for the day. Profit woulda covered my program, admission and a couple of beers. Er.. make that ONE beer.

I know the VIEWers are just dying to see the picks for today (LOL), what they do with them "I don't know?". So here ya go...

First race: No 8 "is bred to win races like this one" (beware, I got this phrase in my buffer and you'll see it plenty of times at this track. Hell, ya gotta go by something).
No. 6 is the figure hoss and 1,9,10 are zacta factas.

2nd race: No. 1 is bred to win races like this one.
No. 11 is the figure hoss and 1,2,4,5 are zacta factas.

3rd race: No. 12 is bred to win races like this one.
Nos. 7 and 9 are the figure hosses.

That's where I'm up to at this point.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Nice post Jimboski. BOL today. I like your write-ups. I would like to have write ups for all my picks but I'm a one man show and it would take forever. Good Luck and here's to having a profitable day! :toast: -Koz

Thanks, Kozski61. You're getting plenty of views so looks like peoples are interested in what you post. I HOPE that's why they come here? Most posters like to see a lot of viewers.

Just watched the first race at A.C. and KNEW I was in trouble when that BIG DUDE, the A.C. "handicapper", gave his picks for the first race. Oh yeeah, I waz in trouble alright. His picks matched mine to a tee. Bad, bad omen.

On to the second race.

You might want to just put some comments in the one you like bestest for the day, koz. Just an idea.

Ok, going back to the BIG money wheel for the second race at AC.
Good luck today.

no. 5 became my key zacta hoss after seeing how it looked in the prerace (LOOKING for a wiener is prob. the best way to play this twack).

Hit the zacta.. NOW, lets see the measly payoff... I don't even want to look.

Ok, results are up on the board.

JUST LIKE yesterday's zacta, only the "1" and the "6" got reversed... it paid $16.40.

I can't wait for them to get their asses back to good ole Philly.

Since I'l only be around here, talking to myself, for one more race.. I should add a little about this upcoming 3 race.

That no. 12 need to be seriously L@@Ked at in the prerace. It ain't gonna be easy for it to clear these horses with the turn coming up so soon and it's FAR outside post. Even if she does clear them, she'll need a breather down the backstretch. Still, I think she is the bestest in this race... let's see who their track "handicapper" sez, that just may tip us off to leave her alone LOL.

12 looks good enough.

also, watch out for the no. 10, terrible, terrible lines in PPS but Shaw has been hot and the horse looks berry, berry good on the track.

still 5 mins.

Nuthin..

Favorite runs out, second choice (3-1) wins, LONGest shot in race (40-1) runs 2nd, FULL field of 12 and zack pays $288. That look right to you?

no! (sometimes ya gotta answer your own questions around here LOL)
.
.

Me: Yeah I agree, kinda short.

I'm gonna continue this sentence I'm serving at this twack.

edited: this twack can't even get it's post parade act together. By the time the "Coolman" announcer is announcing the horses in the post parade - the horses are already galloping onto the BACKstretch. Sheesh, what did I do to deserve this sentence.

Good luck with the ballers tonight.

Hate to write this.. but I think I found the answer.. DON'T post the picks. I played the 3 and 6 in the 4th race.

NOW, they just crossed the finish line and I'm awaiting the "Inquiry" sign to start flash.. maybe the ASS BURNER of the day.. cause he got in a little trouble in that race.

So far. no signs YET.

Hey Jimboski, Keep on posting bro. I've been writing down your info just didn't have time to respond. But I'll throw some of my input in when I can and do the same on my post. Always looking for feed back. -Koz

Wrap up time.

Wrap up time.

Koz, that's ok even if you don't reply cause I can tell you're interested and like playing horses better than just reading about them. If I see you, Hammy and/or a couple of others (like Hogman, deliman, etc. f'rinstance) I'll TRY to get the posts up. NOT promising anything though cause I hate to see my silly, long string of replies without anything in between, if ya know what I mean. That red shirt continually going bye makes me dizzy. :mj07:

BUT, IF I am right about posting means losing.. I won't and won't post my results either. That last part is tough but it ain't the right thing to do. AT PHILLY, I KNOW that ain't the case (posting = losing) though and I'll be back with those picks as long as I see somebody whose interested. I had a terrific, pretty long run going here with Philly horses so posting them ain't a jinx :)

Now, I gotta share something that may just interest some folks although I DON'T recommend playing A.C. I play that track cause, at least, I know most of the jockeys and SOME of the horses. Get this...

You see I caught the nice 4th race wiener who I didn't handicap a bit. BUT, I know that horse is decent and that one is a consistent runner at Philly with no layoffs before Saturday's race. He also had "My main man" on his back (wrote about this jockey before around here).

Sooo... I play Tippy Toes in the 5th (forgot what no. that one was) and the horse ran pretty decent but was OTM. (a losah).

Ok, in the last race I look AGAIN for a consistent Philly horse, no layoff, and played two that I found. Sure enough, one of the them was the wiener, Punta Sal ($16.40 and topped off a very nice exacta. I didn't play any exactas though.). Had a whole 4 smackers on that one and only $2 on the other one. :)

Hey, I cannot see putting REAL moola on anything at this track. Gave it a go in the last race the other day and paid the price for doing it.

BTW, I didn't handicap AT ALL .. the 4th, 5th, or 6th.

Moral of the story.... . well, maybe my Philly dirt bombs ain't so bad after all and are better than most of the crap they're shipping in. We'll see.

Thanks for stopping in, koz.
