Well the people that make the rules should care.

But they don't.

Why have rules if you never enforce them.
The rules should be changed anyway. What's the difference if they made a deal publicly? Only two players were involved. I can see it if more than 2 are involved but....

The WSOP money was going to the 2 players anyway. Who cares?

The WPT has a case to not pay.

Here is what i don't understand. It was head to head play. Why did one guy chip dump to the other guy? The payout was 1.2 million to the winner and one million to 2nd place right? So that's a difference of 200K. Didn't the guy who chip dumped want to win and get a bracelet? I'm confused.

Apparently, they made a deal so the one guy could get the $million bonus and he paid the guy a portion of that. Or, they made a deal to split it. For $500k I’d let him win too if you were permitted to. It used to be the final two could make a deal to split it.

Chances are, the guy who took 2nd would have won. Hell if I know. Greed.

Because of a gold level promotion ---- Only the low stack was eligible for the extra $1M for being a gold member and winning a bracelet- Originally - the total payout was 2.2M ($1.2M & $1M) if the chip leader BUT, $3.2M ($2.2M & $1M) if the low stack won. So they believe they colluded to let the low stack win so they could split the extra $1M, meaning the chip leader takes home $1.5M. My speculation is that he split it 60/40 so they both walked away with $1.6M

Jack did you watch the trouble hands? Jamming Aces. Top pair with a pair on the board that he laid down to a coming out bet against trips and the 3 bet fold with 8-3 vs 8-7. If they did collude, I thought they did it fairly well.
No, I didn't see any of that so maybe I'm way off with my opinion.

It was a clear chip dump.....the rules were clearly broken.

But as I said 100 different times on here, they never enforce any of the rules so it means shit.

And remember there was no deal made......

Yaginuma told us there was no heads-up deal in his post-win interview, though the two did meet. "No, not really. We talked for a little bit about poker, but yeah, that was about it."

yeah right:)
