98% of the police in Scotland are not armed. There were 154 shootings in Scotland last year. The population is 5.2 million, so the rate of shootings is one shooting per 34,000 people.

Most police in the USA are armed. There were 106,000 shootings last year, Our population is 320 million, so our rate of shootings is one per 2018 people.

17 times higher than Scotland.

So, tell me again the one about "More guns make us safer," And the one about the three bears too.

Sell your guns or turn them in if you don't like your guns anymore.

No thanks. I enjoy owning and shooting my guns. I shoot clay targets and hunt birds. I'd shoot pistols and rifles if I wanted to, but, unlike Bubba Redneck, I never have a loaded gun in my house or car or anywhere else unless and until I am in position to shoot safely.

I don't have a loaded gun under my pillow, don't own a scary "black gun", don't feel the need to be armed to go to Wal*Mart. I'm not afraid of the dark, the boogyman, or much of anything else, unlike you bed-wetters.

However you seem to have missed the point. Scotland has much lower rates of gun violence because they aren't a nation of armed Redneck assholes. Like you.

The truth is, more like 90% do the same.

The problem is, what do we do about the 10% who are a danger to themselves and others?

I don't know the answer, but carrying at Wal*Mart isn't the answer. In fact, except for law enforcement and some security people I can't see why Joe Citizen needs to carry a loaded gun at all. Need to carry loaded? Get a permit. Need a permit, have a valid reason. "Because I'm scared to eat at Waffle House" isn't a reason.

Get rid of the loaded guns and solve most of the gun violence problem.

Catch a punk kid, or redneck Bubba carrying loaded, take his gun, let him do 30 days, and maybe he'll stop.

You're a racist because just a picture of a black man with a gun makes you wet your pants.

Are you're referring to just the "good" cops?

I think most cops are good guys. IN many, but not all situations they probably should be armed. Bad cops face the same penalties for illegal activity as ordinary citizens.

There are well known standards as to when deadly force can be used. It can't be used against an unarmed person who is not a serious threat to you, and cops will pay the price for that.

I'd rather be around an armed cop than an armed Bubba or Bubbette Redneck.

You can use a firearm to stop a perp from injuring you or others. You cannot shoot an unarmed person who is fleeing.

the Oakland County prosecutor, Jessica R. Cooper, charged Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez with one count of reckless use, handling or discharge of a firearm. In Michigan the maximum penalty is 90 days.

It would be too bad if one of her jailers is a pervert who shoves his cock down her throat three times a day. Worse if there are several of them.

Jail might be a bitch for the bitch.

Tell it to Frank Serpico.

Know anything about Amadou Diallo? In the Bronx of Feb. 1999, four New York City Police Department plain-clothed officers: Sean Carroll, Richard Murphy, Edward McMellon and Kenneth Boss fired a combined total of 41 shots, 19 of which struck Diallo.

Diallo was unarmed at the time of the shooting, and a firestorm of controversy erupted subsequent to the event as the circumstances of the shooting prompted outrage both within and outside New York City. Issues such as police brutality, racial profiling, and contagious shooting were central to the ensuing controversy.

There are crooked cops, crooked attorneys and crooked judges. Always have been are now and always will be. They take care of each other. It's called "protect and serve."

Arm only the police?
Nah, bad idea.
