i'm sure they'll glorify him in the news but the fact is i remember the game when he spit in michael pittman's face. A real class act. It's not a coincidence that all these miami players keep getting shot and in trouble. I think its 3 guys in the past 12 months.

BUT WHO FAWKING CARES???

I mean seriously, just because he was a professional athlete and a probable thug by all accounts, now the whole media is in a period of mourning.

How about a news story for every Marine, Sailor, Solider or Airman that dies in Iraq and a national tribute to them. A loss of human life is sad to say the least but it makes me sick how ESPN is going to eulogize this guy and how he was such a great person etc. etc. etc.

"From the first day I met him, from then to now, it's just like night and day," Redskins receiver James Thrash said Monday. "He's really got his head on his shoulders and has been doing really well as far as just being a man. It's been awesome to see that growth."
..........................................................................................................................................
"It's hard to expect a man to grow up overnight," said teammate and close friend Clinton Portis, who played with Taylor at Miami. "But ever since he had his child, it was like a new Sean, and everybody around here knew it. He was always smiling, always happy, always talking about his child."
...........................................................................................................................................
"He loved football. He felt like that's what he was made to do," Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said. "And I think what I've noticed over the last year and a half ... is he matured. I think his baby had a huge impact on him. There was a real growing up in his life."

Pretty intelligent argument you have there genius:

I expressed an opinion. So I am an idiot for expressing my opinion. Why don't you go jack off to your Michael Vick Poster and kick your dog and sing koombaya at Taylor's funeral then while you are at it. And the next time you see a member of the armed forces, give them the finger too!

Again you are an idiot.

Where did i say i defended Vick? He is a bigger idiot than you.

Where did i say i am against the armed forces.

My point is, your comment who cares is beyond moronic. Plenty of people care, i am not a skins fan but i care. It is a tragic thing.

The troops lost overseas is even a more tragic thing but the two have little to do with each other.

And also am i suppose to sign or sing koombaya, you have me confused.

You resort to name-calling, therefore who is the idiot?

Loss of human life, tragic for sure.

Why is what I said moronic. People mourn and that is their right, but we see more and more of how thugs are being painted to be great people after passing or when they go to jail etc, that is my point. I put Vick into this equation, because I see 'idiots' suggesting how he is a great person or he can still turn his life around. Thug, once a thug always a thug. Hope he stocked up on the Preparation H.

Sorry for the typo, sing koombaya at his funeral for me. Guess if you are that confused by a simple typo, you should reserve idiot for...

When our troops die, it is an afterthought these days. Can you name 5 off the top of your head? Dont' do a google search.

I don't want to get in a war of words, but I know two people that knew him personally and said he was nothing but trouble and an ass to top it all off.

Funny how being an athlete suddenly makes everything tragic, when we have hundreds dying overseas every month that hardly go noticed.

Many exalt Kirby Puckett and forget that he beat the shit out of his wife, but hey, he hit .300 so he is a glorified hero.

Having said all that, very sad when anyone dies; just making a point that those dying in Iraq every day are far more tragic to me.

I'm failing to see the connection between Taylor and the troops. That's a very interesting spin to try and somehow make people feel guilty or wrong because they feel bad about this particular death - somehow implying that because they feel bad about Taylor they don't feel bad about the troops. No logic whatsoever.

incredibly well put. im sure the countless people praising sean about how he turned his life around and was a good person are just bullshitting too right? clinton portis, joe gibbs, randy shannon, butch davis, etc.

what does taylor have to do with the troops. Stop trying to compare the two things.

I am in total agreement about the troops not getting the right amount of respect but that has absolutely nothing to do with me or Sean Taylor.

Taylor was 24 years old and had made some bad choices in his life, please name for me five people who had not made bad choices at that age. he seemed to be turning his life around after the birth of his child, and what makes it even more tragic is that his child will grow up without a father.

Please stop comparing the troops to taylor because it makes no sense.
