i'm sure they'll glorify him in the news but the fact is i remember the game when he spit in michael pittman's face. A real class act. It's not a coincidence that all these miami players keep getting shot and in trouble. I think its 3 guys in the past 12 months.
I wonder if he had a gun under his bed instead of a machete if he'd be alive today?????
Not directed at you TJ
BUT WHO FAWKING CARES???
I mean seriously, just because he was a professional athlete and a probable thug by all accounts, now the whole media is in a period of mourning.
How about a news story for every Marine, Sailor, Solider or Airman that dies in Iraq and a national tribute to them. A loss of human life is sad to say the least but it makes me sick how ESPN is going to eulogize this guy and how he was such a great person etc. etc. etc.
Pretty intelligent argument you have there genius:
I expressed an opinion. So I am an idiot for expressing my opinion. Why don't you go jack off to your Michael Vick Poster and kick your dog and sign koombaya at Taylor's funeral then while you are at it. And the next time you see a member of the armed forces, give them the finger too!
:mj11:
I don't want to get in a war of words, but I know two people that knew him personally and said he was nothing but trouble and an ass to top it all off.
Funny how being an athlete suddenly makes everything tragic, when we have hundreds dying overseas every month that hardly go noticed.
Many exalt Kirby Puckett and forget that he beat the shit out of his wife, but hey, he hit .300 so he is a glorified hero.
Having said all that, very sad when anyone dies; just making a point that those dying in Iraq every day are far more tragic to me.
I'm failing to see the connection between Taylor and the troops. That's a very interesting spin to try and somehow make people feel guilty or wrong because they feel bad about this particular death - somehow implying that because they feel bad about Taylor they don't feel bad about the troops. No logic whatsoever.
When our troops die, it is an afterthought these days. Can you name 5 off the top of your head? Dont' do a google search.
